Always found it interesting how this game showed a relationship of a father and son from 2 different time periods (Desmond and William Miles/Connor and Haytham Kenway) and how they interact after no contact for a long time Connor grows up without his father and doesn’t meet him until he’s in his 20s or so… …while Desmond had both parents, but ran away after being disillusioned by their dedication to the Creed and caution against Templars that came off as crazy ghost stories to him You watch both pairs try to bridge the gap between them…with Desmond and William mending and getting closer, while Connor and Haytham conflict and ultimately drift apart Sadly in the end…Connor ends up killing his father to stop his Templar plotting…while Desmond sacrifices himself to save his father and the rest of the world from an extinction level event While I agree with most that say throwing away Desmond as a protagonist was a waste…I have to admire the complex narrative that ultimately leads to it 👍

I enjoyed playing the game but the story was a bit odd! There were many memorable moments!

This was the first AC game that I ever played and MAN was he so cool to me, something about the main character being brutal slmehow always keeps me interested.

AC III has always been one of my favourites. People were expecting a charmer like Ezio but instead they got a Batman in Connor. His whole clan was killed, his father was the grand master of his enemies and even his mentor didn't accept him at first. Connor had to struggle for everything he got

In the books (I’m not sure if they’re still canon) but it said Ezio knew he was going to die because he poisoned so he let him live because Ezio knew he didn’t have much time left anyway

I just finished the remaster and it got me to play AC4 and buy Unity for $4. I played the first three AC when I was a kid but didn’t understand all the lore and history elements. The remaster got me into wanting to learn more about the American Revolution and then the Golden Age of Pirates.

i'm not native american, but my own country has experienced colonization far too much and playing a character who has experienced the same horrors played a damn big part in why i love connor so much. especially the burning down the village part. i remember distinctly the first time i saw that and how i saw this same exact scenario play out in my history books back in fifth grade. the racism connor faces too is something i never saw as a child, but i do remember being mad at those scenes and never understood why. it's why i believe that he is the most important character that the series needed to have because who better to fight for freedom than someone who has been stepped on and looked down on because of their heritage, culture, and especially their skin color?
