What are you going to do with the seats that you are talking out of the car?
What size wheels and tires are you using?
I'm also doing an LS on a 58 bel-air . Did you use the original v8 engine mounts? And did you modify your gas peddle or jackyard cable paddle ? Hope you 65 on the road .
I used the BRP hot rods mounts for mine. Worked great. For the gas pedal I actually ordered them off eBay. On off a XJ Cherokee and one from a new edge mustang. I ended up using the mustang one with some risers on the mounts of the pedal. Though this made me have to buy a specific cable that matches a Ford end to a GM end and was kinda pricey. But so far it’s worked great. It’s back on the road now thankfully! I haven’t had a chance to upload, hopefully soon.
I measured the straight 6 mounts to the brp mount and there pretty close in height and with a slider mount on engine it brought engine back . And I found at a junkyard 93 GMC p.k.cable pull gas pedal that mounts flat to firewall upper rod is 6inch higher I'm going to check it's mounting
Soooo many videos on YT breeze over this. Thanks for breaking this down in such a useful manner! Much appreciated!
Glad you found it helpful!!
which header did you use ? the steering box is a problem
I used a set of Hedman headers that are meant for a 1st gen Camaro with a LS swap. Unfortunately still did not clear so I had to dimple the header in a bit to clear.
Glad you are good bro. Im in the same boat with being burnt out with content stuff. Ive been watching a creator here named SimonFordman and he doesnt talk through his videos but hes just working on his cars. Maybe doing something like that would be good if you wanna stay making content. Either way im gonna stick around.
Thank you brother, it’s def like a second job it feels sometimes and I wish I didn’t feel that way. But I’ll be back soon, thanks for always supporting and you know I’ll do the same!
My Scoopy (japanese Metro) stopped running randomly and this is the video that covers the most that I've seen so far! Going to try cleaning the carb, thanks!!
Hope it gets it going!!
What’s up bro!!!!! Your video popped up on my feed. Idk if you remember me but I had a silver 03 cobra lol met a long time ago when you had the red 5.0, sorry about the impala I’m Glad you’re okay!!
Crazy how you ended up here dude!! The 5.0 has been gone for some years now. Sometimes wish I still had it. Good to hear from you!
@@mylifesucks327 goes to show you need to keep going with the videos man!
Dang bro glad you're okay man could've been worse. We know you had a guardian with you bro. as far as content, man Hop on GTA and roleplay a mechanic bro you might enjoy it.. and make content out of it. Either way I'm subbed and ill keep watching
Tried auto gaming before, didn’t do too well but have thought about trying it again
Damn man, then you get instant regret for going to a shop. No wonder we’re so prideful. We know these folks don’t care like we do. Subbed!
Thanks for your support!!
WOW! Glad you didn't get hurt! That could have ended a lot worse! On the flipside, good that you had a plan to recover and get the driveline running again! Sounds like Houston Drive Train Service, Inc. stepped up to help you with the driveshaft and TEXAS DRIVETRAIN PERFORMANCE helped with quick turnaround on the transmission. Take your time and recoup. I hope you don't give up you've done well with the car so far. Like you said, maybe work on your other projects for a bit and come back to the Impala when you're ready! Dave
It’ll only come back stronger!
Damn man, I know what that car means to ya. Glad you are ok homie
Glad you're ok brother. As you say the car can and will be fixed. I say just make some videos about your other vehicles and just the journey on getting things back together.
It’s a good time to get something else on the screen. Let’s hope it works out
Great video ,super informative a
I think the 52ftlb vs. 48ftlb is BS, at that point the bolt itself is just stretching. Plus….. they came up with those torque specs from the factory, that’s what I’ll be using!
It’s an odd one to me too. It doesn’t make much sense to me either but I just decided to play it safe. I doubt you’d have issues going with the factory spec!
What about a 2013 metropolitan scooter 🛵 not starting up when battery is ok? It has no carborator .. 😢
Bad gas, vacuum leaks, fuel pump being bad, unfortunately there can be a lot wrong and with these small motors, the small issues can be enough for it to run rough. I’d check all your hoses, maybe new spark plug, make sure good gas is in it, drain any old gas if it’s been sitting a long time.
Is 50,000 miles too many on a 2013 metropolitan scooter 🛵 too many??
50,000 is a lot on a scooter, but doesn’t mean it won’t run just fine!
I have two CB750s ( 1979, and 81). Both have Pods. The 81 has stock pipes still beautiful. My 79, I put a Delkavic Header to replace its rotting pipes. Be alert when using Pods that they are not blocking the vacuum intake port of the piston, or the air duck. - The Cone Like Pods I had to modify to account for this. On my 81, I accounted for this. She still has Torque at 90 mph The other has 4 dirt bike Pods that do not block the vacuum intake ports - Also Be Alert to subgrade look a likes for the Rubber Collars for connecting between the Carbs and Heads. They have no strength and will rip if having to support the weight of the carbs when the airbox is absent. I was glad to have OEM backups
So detailed lol I’m glad you have her up and running
Gotta help people who were lost just like me lol. Thank you man!!
Uhm also need longer bolts to mount Camaro belt tensioner to your new Camaro water pump. The truck one is about 3/4” too short at least the ones on my 05 LQ9 were.
I don’t remember on mine specifically to be honest if I had to change the bolts. If I did then I probably found something around the garage or took a trip to the parts store. Luckily it’s an easy thing to take care of. Definitely something to note though! Thank you!
Love the video proud of you
Hey man I watched your 3yr old Honda metro video and I can not find the 3rd intake ( the pcv value the one you forgot) please help 😢
Hey man, if I remember correctly its all in the same side where everything else runs. It’s been some time since I’ve touched the scooter so I don’t remember as of now unfortunately. I sorta remember it being on the head or torwards the top of the inside of the “fender”
Water pump spacer part number 05/2024 update: ICT Billet 551690-71
Awesome thank you!!
What motor mounts are you using?
BRP hot rods
Do stock truck exhaust manifolds fit the B Body?
Unfortunately in my particular car they didn’t. I tried haha. Passenger side fit but driver side would make too much contact with the steering box. I’ve read that LS3 Camaro manifolds fit. Read this on a forum some time ago but no idea what motor mounts were used. That all comes into play as well.
Loving the videos bro! New subscriber here
Thank you for the support!!
5:55. Word.
Good video! Thanks for sharing!
Post the Tacoma more
Sold it a bit back unfortunately
Bro, I'm gonna have to do this same thing here soon and I'm not looking forward to it at all. You gave me some good ideas.
Just got to the end. Thats awesome. Bro I'm so happy for you. Lots of hard work paying off.
You got it dude!!
LOL-I sat on the Giorno 2 days ago. Built for midgets. I would have to sit on the very back and have pegs off the floorboard. Very reduced turning radius otherwise! Metro looks bigger-I think I could drive it.
Metro worked for a friend of mine who isn’t small. I say try it!
@@mylifesucks327 My legs are too long and my arms are freakishly long. I would need to sit at the very back of the seat and have pegs off the floorboards. I can't possibly even consider this scooter!
@@mylifesucks327 I need ape hangers!
LETS GO!!!
So happy for you man, hell yeah
Good video, by the way. Can you put a different horn on the Metro? Something that sounds mighty!
Train horn it is then!
I have an 06 Canyon Z85 RWD 5-Speed. I have a Gen 3 LM4 on a E40 PCM. I kept the truck Setup but went with a TBSS Intake because it's just better.
The tbss is pretty much the best stock intake you can run with as long as you have the clearance. Great choice! That was my original choice before I found this one second hand
How many inches lower is the car intake? Does it have much of a change in the torque curve does it do? I'm putting a L92 into a jet boat and want the engine cover as small as possible . . .
I believe the car intake is right around 5 inches shorter. But I can’t confirm that for sure as I’ve only read that, never measured myself. You’d have to dig a bit into forums to double check on that, unfortunately. But I can tell you that if I had a truck intake I’m not so sure it would even clear. As far as torque curve goes, that’d be having to compare some kinda dyno sheet. But a usually the idea is the truck Intake will make the torque sooner and have less high end. Car intake will be the opposite. Could make the same torque but will be at a higher rpm.
Hey whats up building a 65 myslef just wondering what and where did you mount the engine mounts pn the frame any pics would highly be appreciated
Awesome good luck! I used a kit from BRP Hot Rods. Had to weld the trans mounts, that was the only hard part about it. I don’t know of any other kits
What’s the wheel specs for these wheels on the Tacoma
18x9.5 +30
That alternator/power steering bracket cleaned up nice. What did you use?
I'm 300 pounds and I had my stock metro up to 38. Took a while but it got there
Mine goes 40 because I'm only 250. I need to lose another 100 lbs so it'll go 42!
Sounds like a lot of car for you. Time to get rid of her.
Intake probably made more difference
Always keep it all original 🇺🇲
you make it look so easy, kind of motivated me to do this on my own on the wrx. its been sitting in the garage for the longest. lol
Sitting so long that I didn’t even realize you still had it! Lol wasn’t the engine replaced once already?
@@mylifesucks327 yeah under warranty RIGHT on the last month the power train warranty expired. I got lucky that time. LMAO
Yes, metro more interesting than other bike
Let me know if u wanna sale it I'll buy it
So what you are saying is Rich people suck. Doesn't matter where they live or what tone their skin is...
You said this is finally the year you get it on the road. I have had mine since 1993 and it ran, kinda. In 2004 I got remarried and it hasn't run since. This is the year I get mine running too. you are and inspiration!
