Interesting, great photos. It is pleasant to see the work of the young generation. I am primarily a landscape kind of old gentleman who shoots Amsel Adam’s photo. Since 12, in 1972, most of my pictures have been taken with Yashica Mat 124G in Black and White. That landscape is beautiful. You earned my sub. Stay safe 🙏

Thanks for posting Anna. I'm not shooting portraits, just real estate right now. But I do have 2 AD 200's and 2 awesome rechargeable speed lights. My 200's came with 4 gels and barn doors. I think you would do well to include a second AD 200 with the yellow gel (or no gel) in this case high and off to the left and then you would always have that wonderful backlight whenever you wanted it. I can see myself using even 3 lights and I mean without soft boxes because they are so easy to move around on tripods of course. And the trigger you have could easily adjust each one separately. Just a thought as the final picture does look very good. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next one. :-)

What month is Jazz Festival Montreal taking month and date in 2024?

Most data in RAW files is actually stored in the top third of the histogram. So it's actually safer to shoot overexposed rather than underexposed and you'll get much higher quality images. Just a random thought 🤷😊

How did you find this location and arrange with the owners to allow the photo shoot? Did you have to pay to use this location? Any tips how to find other locations like this? I guess that could be a video in itself.

Damn! such good stuff here. A couple of questions. I see the red light come on before the flash I believe that is the focus assist on the trigger mounted in the shoe? Also you appear to be using the menu wheel quite frequently between shots even. What are you doing? And yes, I was thinking that the elbow would not work, but the final edit looks awesome. The final result with the dress was good. I am sure you know this, but you could have removed the footprints without adding a dress by lasso then just hit generate without typing a description to remove anything. Thanks Anna like these vids please make more. Later! 🙂

Very beautiful! I have a NEWER light along those lines. It is about twice as big though and it plugs in. It will take batteries, but I have not bought them. I was going to use it for some back lighting for headshots but to date I have not used it. Did you get the color gels and barn door with your AD200? I received them with mine. I picture using the yellow gel for some backlighting at sunset. I think you would get some use out of them. Exploring your channel a little at a time. Thank you. 🙂

I would have bought 2-3 Christmas trees , as background and shoot in a studio . Model looks uncomfortable cold. . Heats up to both of you

Beautiful final image! Your knowledge of photoshop amazes me as I am mainly a LRC guy who shoots real-estate on the side. I do use PS for image blending and adding pictures to TV screens and fire to fireplaces but that's about it. Any certain channel I should watch to get my PS skills up?

Ok, so this deserves a thousand more views. Check those tags! Not being critical here but I think the speed at which you go through your editing dramatically cuts the prospective audience down. If you slowed the editing portion down, then viewers who do not have these PS skills mastered won't leave early. There is so much to learn from this. I know it can be slowed and paused but if you made it that way, it would be easier to follow. I can't think of any other reason for why there are not more views. Thanks for posting! 🙂

Starting to go through some posts that interest me. This is damn good. The editing video portion alone is worthy of its own post. Maybe you have others that are slower and maybe you teacher this later. I don't know but I'll find out. Thanks for posting. I have been shooting real estate, but it has slowed down so I was thinking about this kind of work that I could do at home. I do have one LED light like you have here and lots of hot lights and strobes too. Been playing around with AI its crazy fun but always leaves weird artifacts so probably not for serious commercial work yet.

Your videos covering photography are very pleasant to watch and informative. You deserve more subs and views. Make sure those TAGS are correct and plentiful. The videos you made of the couples are excellent. Would have loved to have seen about 6 final images here. I think you should consider always putting up final images towards the end of your posts. Just a suggestion. Tommy

Damn! that model never broke character. Must be a professional. Hats off to her. I have the same flash and trigger but a canon T7 24mp crop sensor with 24mm and 50mm prime and other lenses. LRC and photoshop. Long time photographer here since the early 70's. I had my own darkroom. Shot weddings on film, shooting real estate now but I like to work with people. I think my gear will suffice. I'm guessing you could use generative fill for these types of backgrounds now and save a ton of time. I will watch your vids and then maybe try my hand at some portrait photography. Thanks for this.

Do you have any tips for getting children to look at the lens and not yourself? I am a wedding photographer and don't photography many kids, but from time to time the Bride/Groom have kids and I find myself out of element x.x
