HOW TO PACK OUT & PROCESS YOUR DEER - LEGALLY!
Me crappie fishing the last few weekends.
Man, I love a thin crust on the upper end of Theodosia. It tells me the water temperature is just right.
Congratulations on your son’s graduation. Enjoy the vacation. Merry Christmas
@@roddybieber7031 thank you and Merry Christmas to you!
Been fishing these things since they first started showing up. I could tell some stories... LEAVE THAT SNOW UP IN TH GREAT WHITE NORTH. Thank you.
I’ll bet. Back home now, snow was nice to visit but I’m happy with temps here right now!
Enjoy your Northern family vacation. Thanks for the tips
@@tharris4718 you bet!
Almost half time. Chiefs ahead by 4. Sweet, Chiefs just intercepted with 52 seconds in the half. Anyway, I caught a 5.25 lber on a breakwater that used to be in front of Shawnee Bend (they need to put it back) a few years back in high winds. About 5 minutes later Denise Dill and her non-boater pulled up and fished the opposite end of it with no luck. Enjoy your time away!
@@mikewelter180 that is a good one!
The one at Ozark BBQ? I won a night tourney off of it once...
@@oldschoolbassin Yeah, that's the place. This was after they removed all those old wooden boat slips. Some nice fish were caught around those slips.
@@mikewelter180 YEP!
I have owned a trailer on LOZ for 25 years and have fished those breakwaters a lot over the years, especially in the fall and winter. My experience is that it can sometimes be good for big spotted bass but it very rarely works for bigger largemouths. Fun for numbers but I dont think it is a winning pattern for tournaments. I do enjoy your videos Randy.
@@BodeknockerBrumbill agreed. More of a place to finish out a limit if needed!
Until it IS...
Thanks for the video. Congrats on the son’s graduation. A bunch of us took a motorcycle trip several years ago from Columbia to the Dells. Amish country was fun to tour. Excellent info on the jerk baits. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
@@Rick-z4h appreciate it and right back at you!

Yay Tin boats!Thanks for sharing…enjoyed the video!👍🎣🇱🇷
Tin boats indeed!
Nice boat. What flooring is that and did you add it?
Seadek. Installed it myself five years ago and can’t brag on it enough! Tough, durable, and zero issues with peeling or tearing.
@ thanks I enjoy your videos
Love the camo boat. Great job
Thanks 👍
Nice job Randy, you had 5
Thanks guys. I’ll take it, and learn from it for the next one!
Good video! 🐟🐟🐟🐟
Thanks Jack!
Really enjoyed watching this.
Glad you enjoyed it
@ how many people in $90000 bass boats cashed a check? Probably afraid to take them out in the rain. Stayed home to wax the exterior and vacuum the interior. 😂
good info
How are you catching drum that looks like freshest
Freshwater drum
I think the actual name of a fresh water drum is a gasbergoo or sum like that we catch em here in Louisiana
Drum,pretty white meat
You just got yo love that Missouri weather 😂
Always a factor!
How was the fishing though
Pretty good under the circumstances. Several bags over 17 pounds!
Hey Randy. Love your videos and not sure how to contact you directly. Wonder if you’d ever speak to our bass club? We are in Kansas but fish all of the Missouri lakes.
@@vincerath1153 thank for your kind words! I’d be happy to discuss further. Shoot me an email with your number and I’ll give you a call…RandyDoman@gmail.com

@@JamesandDeniseDillGuideservice thanks guys, and congratulations on the big win this weekend!
Another great video Randy! It was nice talking with you and Mike bass outdoors at dinner that night!
Appreciate it Chris. Hope to see you on Saturday. Let’s get together after Christmas and hit the lake or river for a day!
Glad to see that you located some places that at least fish are using now, hope they stay there for you, good luck!
Appreciate it!
See ya Sat.
awesome vid
Randy do you have ffs on your boat and if you do how much do you use it?
I have a Garmin 94SV with the LVS32 Livescope (normally). My cradle is not working so I’m without a front unit until tomorrow. Even so I use it very little. Extremely hard to see my lure with this setup past 25-30 feet.
Thanks for sharing your day on the water. Good luck in the tournament. Those Spotted bass are fun to catch
I currently sitting in my house in Columbia wondering why I’m not at my condo on the gravois and standing on my trolling motor throwing a jerkbait around
It was a grind, but there were a few keepers biting late in the day.
@ I love watching your videos brother. Thanks for doing it. Hope they are still biting the 17th and 18th because I’m gonna fish
@ appreciate it and good luck!
Lews 6’9 JB special with lews 7.5 with 10 or 8lb line is my go to.
Sounds like a good combo.
Thanks for the crappie info. We enjoy some fresh crappie during the winter months. We fish Mark Twain all year but we really enjoy LOZ during the colder months without all the boat traffic. Thanks and good fishing.
Love MTL in the warmer months. LOZ is definitely a better fall/winter option!
My favorite jerkbait setups are megabass levante 6'11" jerkbait special and my new favorite is 6'8" evergreen combat stick the new one. Great tip! Reels are Shimano curado 70 mgl or tatula sv tws 70. 10lb on evergreen and 12 on levante
Thanks for sharing! Those are some solid setups.
water temp?
Low 50s
Great video Randy I have often wondered about those circuits and you explained them well.
Appreciate it Doug.
Love your video's and thank you for sharing!!! I use a Shimano Expride 6' 10" Medium-moderate rod with a Shimano Curado 70 reel with 10 lb flouro. One of the best jerkbait combo's Ive ever thrown!!!!!
Sounds good. Thanks for sharing!
I agree as right handed on the cumbersome feel of trying to reel with my left hand. I also like a 7 ft rod and 10 pound flouricarbon line for jerk baits. Enjoyed the content of your video.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
What part of the Lake were you on?
@@Rick-z4h Gravois
@ Thanks. I have a place on the Gravois and fish quite a bit but it sure didn’t look familiar. Hope to see you out there sometime
@ that’s good! Mark would probably throttle me if I gave away this good spots. 🤣
@@randydomanoutdoors225 come on Randy. You fish the Lake enough to know there are no such things as secret spots 🤣. Marcus Sykora is a friend of mine and he’s told me stories of people just following him around to see where he fishes. Always someone watching at LOZ
@@Rick-z4h indeed!
Hey Randy. Notice you fish with the BP Carbonlite rods. I was thinking about their 6' 6" med heavy for a heavier topwater rod since I'm kinda short. What do you think?
@@RCMC-o7e I’ve got a 7’ and 7’3 BPS Carbonlite, and I like them both. They still have plenty of tip for a MH for accurate casting, and they seem pretty well-priced and durable. Sensitivity not as important for a topwater rod so I think you’ll be happy with one.
@@randydomanoutdoors225 Thanks for the reply!
Ive got a 7H and 7-2H carbonliites. They have good flex on the end and I dont have any trouble with flipping anything 3/8 or heavier. Plus ive used the 10 year warranty multiple times to swap out for a brand new one.
Always left handed spinning reel but I absolutely cannot use a left handed baitcaster
@@bigguy7618I hear ya. Feels awkward reeling that way, but I do like the efficiency for pitching to targets.
👍
Maybe try throwing your favorite crappie crank on a BFS set up? They casts little baits a country mile.
@@zmanbassfishing may have to try one. Shimano has a Curado BFS that’s not terribly expensive. Thanks for the tip!
Your welcome
Thanks for sharing this info, very informative.
@@BrianDavis-davisba5 appreciate it Brian!
Megabass makes some excellent casting small baits, super z1 or z2, and knuckle, 2 inch baits and if you want 1 1/2 inch the griffon will fit the bill, and don’t sleep on the flap slap or the small s crank! They also make a size 5 treble might help out the dime
Appreciate it. I will check all those out!
