This channel was born to show private videos to known people. When I tried to make public some of my jobs I found how much it is funny and, MOST OF ALL, useful as a way to share knowledge.
The main focus is on DIY, with a broad range of homemade jobs, especially on mechanics but spacing also on electronics and gardening; also in this field I think you could find some ideas, which will be useful and inspirational! Or, at least, I hope so ;-)

I do not like this type of shelves for the assembly system that is not really within everyone's reach, for its solidity compared to the traditional method and for the ease of disassembling, for example, before a whitewashing.
However, the aesthetic result of this system of assembling the shelves, is decidedly of a high standard and in line with the minimalist furnishings of today.
Having a large number of shelves to assemble I thought of this system that cancels the possibility of measurement error in tracing the drilling points.
In this case I used the laser but it would have been only slightly more laborious to use the classic bubble.
Given the considerable size of the holes to be made, wrong tracing would mean to find a BIG hole to be plastered and make another one a few millimeters away you will understand that it is not a good and right thing.

this mechanical principle doesnt work, and it's a scam.. because if the load overcomes the power of the spring, then you are back to backlash.. if you increase the power of the springs, you increase the friction and wear... visually it apears that it reduces backlash with no load, but as soon as you add load to it, it will jave tje same backlash as it had..

Anti-backlash using springs doesn't work. Or rather it works when the axis is unloaded. Any machine will exert forces that will overcome the spring and defeat the anti-backlash effect.

Mah, io ho copiato un sistema che utilizza un nostro cliente su attrezzature professionali. Su quello che serviva a me ha fatto il suo lavoro. Poi test impegnativi non ne ho fatti
FWIW... I believe the anti backlash nut should be a hard opposing flank to flank contact. Not spring loaded. A stiff spring is similar but becomes very bulky. Spring loaded nut might be the only way if the lead screw's lead variance is large. But then the screw should be junked in the first place.

If you put some long set screws between the guide rods, you can adjust it by compressing the spring/s. This will remove the potential to wear the components. There must be some free play, minute backlash is necessary or parts will wear prematurely. You want oil to get between the threads, not squeezing the oil out

this doesnt work... when spring compresses you are back to back lash, there is alternative with screwsh with fixed tension witch actually works, but this doesnt work.

That is a lot of repeated impact force to put on the side of those 2 screws and if they do break there is a good chance that both screws would break within a few revolutions of each other, turning that into a high-velocity projectile.......
I initially tried the exact same thing for my hobby cnc but ended up doing some slight modifications. If your axis travel is really really short then this method is fine. For real cnc work though, meaning long axis travels back and forth, I noticed that the nut tends to decompress the spring so much that it eventually comes loose. I might be wrong but this is my experience so far. My solution was to design a spring compression limiter by confining the relative movement of the anti backlash nut to just a few millimeters. How I did it is rather difficult to explain in a comment, but after reading what I wrote it should be easy to get the idea of a possibile solution. Goodbye
