7:14 Yep; you need the L2 Switch Hook.
I miss short cut hair for Tim
13:43 Oh boy probably the most fun item in the game. It’s also a very interesting item when it comes to Varen due to how you use it to defeat her.
Oh, while I’m thinking about it, you should know that in seasons, it is possible to beat Dungeon 5 before dungeon 4. You don’t even need the dungeon item from dungeon 4 to complete dungeon 5 at all; dungeon 5 is totally beatable without the item from dungeon 4. This is like the only instance of being able to do dungeons out of order during the Zelda games that have have this 8 dungeon structure.
0:12 You will learn to hate those enemies that have to be dropped into pits.
great game!
This pikachu crazy af 😂😂 but he is so funny also
I miss this game. Currently i am play for second version 😂😂
14:05 Once you complete the trading sequence, you do have to do this ceremony again and it’ll be harder. I am so glad Seasons removed this requirement for a sword upgrade as that’s the end reward for both trading quests.
Oh god...
@ Yeah. I am so glad Seasons does not make you play this mini-game for the trade sequence’s ultimate reward of a sword upgrade.
Adorable thumbnail. Good work!
Oh, should also mention this too: In a linked game, the animal buddy will default to the one you picked up in the first game.
16:31 This area and another in seasons actually changes it’s terrain based on which animal buddy you end up with: Ricky’s version has lots of cliffs and single holes while Dimitri’s version is full of water & waterfalls.
4:40 So fun fact…Dimitri is actually a Dodongo. Yes, this means he is the only friendly dodongo in the entire Zelda Franchise; all others you’ll see are enemies.
Dodongos swim?
@@TJtheEevee I think extended Zelda material says something about Dimitri teaching himself how to swim or something along those lines; I forget what or where this was stated, but I do know it is said this about Dimitri.
Not for the future: You can just use scent scenes for most ammo based puzzles. They exist in seasons too so don’t forget this tidbit.
Amazing use of guile’s theme 😂 Congrats on finishing saw the video game
As much as I would like to see you play the second one, as it seems it's a direct sequel, I understand why you don't want to. I watched your playthrough series the whole way through, despite not being a Saw fan myself. The story drew me in. I think the crude graphics and the goofy jankiness helped grounded me remembering it is simply a video game. I do agree though in saying that the game itself is simply "meh". I think if the combat and puzzles got some tweaks, it could definitely draw more non-Saw fans in. The enemies should be able to break out of the stun-locks. The traps should feel more useful. I don't think you deployed a single trap, other than the ones that were already there. Nonetheless, I enjoyed watching. Some really funny moments.
3:51 You can just use the shield to deal with the floor tile thing.
Oh, I thought that was only a thing in the 3D Zelda games.
@@TJtheEevee No, it still works in most top-down Zelda games too. Not all of them though; four swords adventure doesn’t allow you to block floor tiles with shield (which is like the only four swords game with floor tiles).
1:44 Yeah armos just suck.
Yeah, I don't think the spikes retracting when you get a correct match makes the pain any less worse.
Seriously. He NEEDS to get them checked.
With all that frost on you, should eat some Tappatio hot sauce. :D Also poor Tapp needed a distraction so flicking that lighter worked XD. That puzzle of matching was indeed painful. even looked like one of the spikes got the nethers T_T
"It's them who will be digging their grave" *Head explodes* Sucks you died, but god damn stuff like that is funny as fk
Oh, I burst out laughing whenever I watch these moments back in editing. XD
That island must feel annoying af to be on.
It is. Probably the second most annoying part of this game after the Lost Woods-y place.
A lot of puzzles in this one hehe. Also yeah, How the hell does one stuill have a usable arm after dipping it in acid? Wouldn't that shit just destroy it quick af?
He should've ended up without an arm before now, tbh.
@@TJtheEevee Tapp ain't human. Simple as that XD
@@elcheapomagneto390 For real. XD
48:20 Armos alert! These guys suck in 2-D Zelda games.
Along with the guys you have to hit from behind.
35:11 Those were known as “Pol’s Voice”; you can defeat them either with bombs or with a sound making item like the harp and the flutes. Remember the bomb thing for seasons, as they do appear in a dungeon prior to getting the animal flute there.
34:57 Oh nvm my previous comment…
30:02 Try using your harp.
17:15 I believe there is a dungeon room in either this game or in seasons where you have to defeat all enemies to get to a new room or open a chest; thing is you can use the scent seeds to cause all the enemies to fall down a bottomless pit and cheese the combat.
If you’re worried about objects near a soil spot for gasha seeds, don’t be; the tree will auto remove them.
18:14 Oh this part. This part where you have to swap your shovel to progress is annoying as heck.
15:57 You actually can’t get your shield back from the Tokay. Well…you technically do way later in the game, but the in-game explanation is that Link took so long to get that shield back, the shield becomes the L-2 Shield.
12:28 I was waiting to see your reaction to this moment~
I refuse to believe Tapp's arm still functions after sticking it in a barrel of acid
Not to mention all the needles.
I love how Rickey punched the wall before taking off XD
"ALL I WANT IS OUT!" *BLAM* *my mind: "You're out, now"* *You 3 seconds later* "Okay, you got out! :D"
I mean, he got what he wanted. XD
@@TJtheEevee For sure haha.
1:41 You actually can’t do anything to rocks that look like those.
Ah. Invincible rocks.
@@TJtheEevee Yeah there are barrier things like this that prevent you from going across certain screens certain ways. In this example, that would be reaching the Maku Tree screen in the past.
@@KingBioSparkVI Ah, makes sense.
Weed!
bro how do you keep uploading daily for the past 2 years (that's how far I've scrolled before getting bored) but i know you have 7 years old vid I don't know if you're even human or not that's a compliment btw
@@MiracleInvoker02 I just upheld an uploading schedule, and record the weeks vids beforehand, using Saturday, my usual day off, to render them.
@@TJtheEevee tj my guy don't you don't need to use any formality bro it's not like someone gonna see a drop of water on an ocean also gl out there man
@@MiracleInvoker02 Thanks, dude. Appreciate it.
Hahahaha. Had to rewatch at the start where you stop pulling the cart then 2 seconds later you explode. I've beenm there when forgetting I have something equipped nad don't mean to use. tho in this case, it's probably a much bigger pain than in others when you make an accident like that, lol. Also i would not have thought to give Tapp a shower, lmfao. The poor man. After asking where do you go and what do you do, i got a song in my head but changed the words. "Wherever you go, Whatever you do, JIgsaw will keep watching over you." XD
Moosh is absolutely adorable! The boss at the beginning of the vid tho. That music is gonna be in my head for a while, lmao.
Do you think you'll beat this game, I don't think its that long but it's annoying later on.
I plan on beating it, don't worry. I'm not giving up that easily. ^_^
I will also say that Ages does a good job of introducing you to each animal buddy prior to when you need to get their flute (which is coming up shortly). While both Ages and Seasons give you one no matter what, there is one flute at the shop and another from a mini-game. The default animal buddy is Mush for ages, the shop flute is for an animal buddy you’ll meet after the next dungeon, and the mini-game flute is the shooting gallery. The shop flute is 150 rupees while you need to score at least 450 points to get the mini-game flute and that animal buddy is the one you’ll meet next. Be thankful that this isn’t Seasons because the mini-game related flute is at the dance mini-game there.
The dance mini game in Seasons wasn't that bad. In Ages it was much harder, because you need a sense of rhythm for that.
@@nowonmetube maybe so, but the flute that you can get when it becomes available (which is just before dungeon 3) I remember always making me have to beat the Seasons Dance Mini-game several times over.
Won’t lie, the second boss of ages sucks.
The fuck dragged that dude away? XD. The scream though almost sounded like it came from some other source. can't really remember tho.
Didn't sound like the Wilhelm scream imo.
@@TJtheEevee Yeah. Not that... but somehow familiar XD
@@elcheapomagneto390 As for what, or who, dragged him away, I'm thinking maybe the guy in the pig mask?
@@TJtheEevee Prolly.
The winged eared boss or whatever made me think of Gremlins 2, lol. What a pain in the ass (Also could pass as one of the gremlins in the game too XD) Also I kinda like the side scroller moments at some parts. At least it looked like it, similar to The Adventure of Link. 19:30 Lawnmower Link strikes again! XD
