The Square doesn't have the "Deposit $" feature yet & after chatting with 2 of their reps. last night that were clueless about this, your instructions were awesome & especially about this work-around!" Plus your tutorial helped me to set up my sub-categories as well. Thanks so much!! & thank you Jesus as I prayed for the Lord to help me get this figured out & used you as a blessing to me & our business! pride-heart-rainbow-philly :) Unlike your preference though; I wanted the extra deposit to be very visible & noticeable as it's added onto the full price of the rentals.

      I'm trying to do it right now. I no longer see a prepay option other than FULL prepayment and they want you to have Square Plus to hold a card on file at booking. :/

    So when all your services are private. How do your clients book you? Or do you send them a direct link when it’s private too book? I’m still trying to learn what all I can do with acuity. But it seems to be one of the best ones. So with the waiting list clients aren’t able to pay a deposit correct? I wish acuity would update clients when we have an open appointment or update a waiting list

      The waitlist services should be public. You switch them over to the private appointment if you decide to approve them and resend the email to let them know its been approved after you switch the appointment type.

    Hi QT, So if i am going to be offering Mobil services how do i set that up in sqaure? How does that work? Because i would need to see what address they are inputting and also having that feature. Do you know if square has appts for Mobile services? And where i can cancel an appt if it's not in a good side of town or also input what are the Miles i can travel to so people book me between those miles.     Are you able to do a video on the check box where they have to agree on your cancellation policy and like your terms and conditions? I’m having trouble adding that I’ve looked in the community search internet and no luck. The exact way you have it set up is perfect that they must check the box to agree before continuing to pay deposit and book. Thank you 😊

    i was so happy to find this so clear... but they updated their site and now it allows for full payment only sadly and were it says price describtion for you it now pricing describtion so now it not quite the same but i will see if it still works.. thanks for this video !

    This is so amazing I’ve been using acuity for over 10 years and never had a problem other than this lol 😅 but you made it so easy also…if they have an intake form or terms and conditions please make a duplicate one for “waitlist” so they will understand ❤

      I use to send a payment link for the deposit before approving a waitlist request in order to secure the appointment on top of my no show policy.

      Hi! Acuity does not have that option yet but in your case you would do the same thing shown in the video and instead of calling it a “waitlist” you would title it “appointment request”. If you approve then you will change the appointment request to the regular appointment (make sure all regular appointments are private) then resend them the appointment confirmation. Make sure to hit the subscribe button 💕

    Your video was so helpful, the only issue that I’m having is when booking multiple services it’s charging a deposit for each service instead of just a flat rate

      They’ve had a few updates since this video so it may be completely different now. Ive switched to a different booking system.

    What happens if the day or time doesn’t become available?

      Then they won’t get a manual confirmation email. If you know in advance that you can’t service them at that day or time just cancel their request and make sure you send the cancellation email to them so they know.

    You will only be able to see the calendar description if you have uploaded a photo for that calendar.

    Update: Make sure to go to “Customize appearance” “Scheduling page options” and put a check next to "hide “any available” option from calendar list. This will allow your client to select the waitlist calendar as opposed to scheduling with the first available calendar.

I went in to double check to make sure the wait list worked, however none of the "booked" days are showing up. For instance, say I'm fully booked on August 24th, but someone wanted to come in at 3 on August 24th. They should be able to book that in the "Wait List: Waiting Approval" calendar correct? Or am I missing something?
