Saw this '74 tour at the Tulsa Assembly Center. I remember looking down from the top of a landing and could see George and crew walking to break at halftime. Some redneck yells out, "Hey George are you really religious or just pretend to be?"

For all the negativity I've heard about this tour (including the rearrangement of "In My Life") and my own overall dislike of the Dark Horse album (sorry, George), this is a killer arrangement and performance of "In My Life". George's voice sounds decent and I love that he did something different with it instead of recreating 1965-era Beatles. The little pause on the minor chord before he sings "I love you/God more" reminds me of the chorus of "Crackerbox Palace"...I wonder if this arrangement inspired that. 🤔 I would love to hear an official release of this and other songs from the Dark Horse tour if multitracks +/- film were taken and properly preserved/remastered.

I saw this tour at The Forum in Los Angeles. Still have my ticket stub and program. I think Robben Ford was 17 years old or something. I’d never heard of him before but I’ve followed his career since and was fortunate to see him play live and meet him. Met George too by accident in an elevator of a hotel. Super nice guy - he kept the door open for me as I was struggling with my suitcase, travel bag and briefcase. LOL. We talked briefly - i mentioned a way to add iron to Roses and he thanked me with a personalized autograph. I think Olivia and Dhani were with him but to be honest, I was so nervous all I remember looks at was George.

This is the best mix of this performance that I have heard. It's not The Beatles at their best (they're drunk for some of this set, and their friend Horst Fascher -one of the bouncers- sings some of the songs) but it is fun to hear.

I saw George at MSG… on the Dark Horse tour in 1974… thank you for your music 🎶… it means a lot to me… rest well friend. Peace 🕊️

George Harrison is considered the biggest fan of the Fender Stratocaster of all musicians. He only played a Telecaster once in his life though and for less than a week ( The Rosewood Telecaster) and called it ” The worst guitar I have ever played ” in a Rolling Stone Magazine article.
