You can make vase mode prints stronger by changing perimeter thickness, this squishes the layers together better.
Autopsy of the defective stepper motor from my Prusa MK3S 3D Printer.
มุมมอง 2856 หลายเดือนก่อน
I took the defective motor apart just to see if I could notice anything that caused it's demise but nothing was visible. I am keeping the stater just because it's a strong magnet and I stuck it to my file cabinet.
Y axis stepper motor in Prusa MK3S goes bad
มุมมอง 696 หลายเดือนก่อน
I was having Y axis crash detection after tightening the belt properly and the bed was hard to move. I checked the idler pulley, belt alignment and so on and all was good, only thing left was this motor so I ordered a $19 replacement off Amazon (that arrived late, thanks Amazon) and put it in and it solved the problem
Lightburn Fill Verses Offset Fill what is the difference

A quick and simple explanation of the difference in regular fill VS offset fill. Shows how sometimes offset fill can save you lots of time but it's not always the right choice.

Lightburn Offset trick for shapes that are further apart

I figured out this trick for when you want a small offset in Lightburn but it's multiple shapes and they are too far apart to create a single outline.

Temu $3 RC bulldozer, is it any good?
มุมมอง 10Kปีที่แล้ว
I know Temu is a scam but for $3 I just had to see what I would actually receive. I don't know if I just got lucky or what but this bulldozer would be OK for a small child (7-10 years old) and seems like it would cost $25 at someplace like Walmart.

I'm getting motion sickness.
Both JUNK!!!!
Genius 😊
This is the exact concept I just rationalized and came to YT to see if anyone else had already. I'm not using a Prusa but I think I can accomplish a similar task in Cura. Good job sir. This video is highly underrated.
Very helpful, thank you! I was about to buy the Leegol.. Could you tell me what belts you bought for the Harbor Freight, please? Also, is the motor in these both the same too? Thank you! 👍👍
In what way did the bearings go bad, how did you notice?
My printer was showing signs of weakness on that motor (moving but would stop way too easy). Once I got it apart I could feel the bearings (I have worked with a lot of them) were sort of gritty when moved which means the balls are getting caught on something and in a sealed bearing that would be tiny metal particles from either the balls or the race they are in so they were just worn out. They would have increased the amount of energy it takes to spin them and so in the end the motor lost that amount. Was not super easy to diagnose as it could have just as easily been the driver not putting the correct current out but changing the $20 motor fixed the issue so that is when I decided to pull the motor apart and once in my hand I could tell the bearings where to hard to turn with my fingers.
@@terrymakes3613 Interesting, thanks for the details!
Which nozzle size were the models printed with?
Nice video 👍
Nice job
You‘ve given me the perfect idea to do engraving on such cards… I probably go a little different route since I’ve a 3d printer.. (I‘m going to print some holders and going to cut holes to position them properly)
Glad you found it useful.
Thank you! I'm doing this all for the first time and this was invaluable!
HF is still selling the Chicago Electric brand of this design with an improvement on the bushings. The plastic bushings are now brass. Hopefully an oil impregnated brass but even if standard brass it is a great improvement over plastic.
How do you know where to place your template on the laser each time you use it?
If I am just doing a few pieces I create a simple template using this method each time (thus it can be anywhere and is good until moved). I however have sense 3D printed an L that I have bolted to my bed and I use that to register more permanent templates off of. I can simply place some wood in the L and carve a template and save it in Lightburn at that exact location. Days, or months later I can put that template back in the L and load it into lightburn and know it will be dead on.
Terry's will be condemned by non Brotherhood Of Steel just bcause he etched BoS emblem as tutorial lol, anyway its one of the best etches videos.
I've had great results with making a small jig, (~3" x 5"), engraving - fill - the dimensions of the business card to a depth of ~ 2-3 mm. I place "crosshair center marks" 60 mm to the top of the card center and 60 mm to the bottom of the card center - total of 120 mm. The business card just fits nicely, (test fit the 54 x 86 mm card dimensions to fit like you want), then after placing you card in the recessed area, use the top and bottom crosshair center marks to align your work top to bottom, then move 60 mm up to the center of your card, (I like to use CENTER CURRENT positioning), and this jig allows multiple burns with only having to move the laser head up 60 mm, remove/replace a new card, move down 60 mm then burn again. I use the N52 THIN magnets to prevent laser head hitting the hold down magnets.

Thanks I was looking to purchase one for my waterproof camera, but the quality looks poor I would not trust the waterproof seal and the wire look bad, I think its just more China crap.
Been using mine for 5 years now and still works great. Had a friend buy a used one (don't know if the original is still available new) 2 years ago and he uses his daily also no issues.
I get something like this I waterproof it myself. I buy a tube of transparent silicone and go along the outside of the case where it opens up to stop water from getting inside. When you want to change the batteries for whatever reason you just remove the silicone and scrap it clean reapply more silicone. I bought Duracell rechargeable batteries for mine that are High quality that will hold up.
I ordered two different power banks. One from ebay that comes with batteries and the other one from Temu that doesn't. I'm putting it on ebike to power lights. The ebike battery I want one hundred percent of the battery life going towards the motor to get me home and not towards the lights.
Thanks for video sir
I’ve place 15 orders on Temu and every item has been excellent quality. I’m always impressed. So you’re way off base with your statements at the beginning.
Yeah I’ve bought some shirts that seem quite good for the price.
Agree, got some good stuff but usually get what you pay for though, some of the stuff not the best but when factor price in its not bad
Very interesting! I've bought cheap guns before, need a new one, and was curious what the point of spending a bit extra on a nicer brand may be. This about answers that!
I heard that Harbor Freight isn't going to be making anymore tumblers! Thanks for sharing!
thank you!
Hello 🤗 good video

Is this iron still available? I was told this iron has been discontinued?
You’re figuring out how Chinese crap works.
Any idea what scale this thing is?
Those harbor freight rocks tumblers are junk just got one 5 min after running burnt my finger in the motor junk junk
4" o rings work good for replacement belts.
I have two Harbor Freight rock tumblers and I have a box fan right next to the tumblers that keeps the motors cool as a cucumber!
Neat cheers
Thanks, this is great. I am new to engraving, and your advice helps a lot.
I did all of that. I went to bed expecting to wake up to the printer prompting me for the filament change but apparently my Klipper printer ignored the change filament G code? The part was printed in a single color.
I am not an expert in this but I believe the pause commands and such are built into Marlin and so it would be different for a Klipper based printer.
@@terrymakes3613 - I tried the PrusaSlicer Change Color and Pause commands and they seemed to work in PrusaSlicer but the Neptune 4 Pro printer doesn't even slow down, so I'm back to the old method of manually pausing the print to switch filament. Pause and Resume work well so this is a mere inconvenience. My custom Japanese mini truck mud flaps look great.
Owned my Harbor Freight Tumbler for years. Never had to change a belt. Not sure of your issues.
Hey man I had this same idea. I can't find your files for this anywhere. Is it still up?
It's on Printables. I can't post links here but the full title is Dremel drill press to heat set insert adapter
It's amazing for me . 3 dollars .am ordering 1 now. Thank you
You're my top G dude
Is borax toxic?
Yes, you don't want to ingest it (but then again water is toxic if taken in large enough quantities). Borax is most commonly used to aid in laundry washing and can be purchased alongside detergent (which is also toxic).
The sounds a bit annoying ae? Can you turn that off by chance? Or is that too advanced?
If you pay attention to the video, he answers this question and actually turns the sound off. Do you always watch half a video and comment or just don’t pay attention well?
@@Jackofallofem Only half of video cause the sound was annoying.
Typing as Paracordia-UK. A very helpful tuition video ..Thank you. I really like your workpiece lockdown pegs too. I need to find the file for them and make some myself as the ones I'm currently using are not ideal.
I downloaded one that did not work so I just changed the size until it fit my bed properly. But since then I moved to strong magnets and will never go back to the pegs.
I use an aluminium honeycombe, so unfortunately magnets are not an option for me. @@terrymakes3613

This is very typical of china's manufacturing industry. They will make unis for several companies in the same factory and at several quality levels some for the premium exports, premium domestic and the discount markets. Its more efficient and only requires a single tooling outfit. Much different from the sometimes multiple competing factories in the US and other western countries.
