Mist Covered Mountains
Played here by Pipe Major Donald MacLeod taken from the The New York Recordings 1967.
The same tune is played by Scottish Piper Angus Sutherland at The Memorial Service for the great Neil Armstrong in Washington D.C. on the 13th September 2012. A beautiful pipe tune for a truly inspirational man.

My great-grandmother came from Inverness and travelled far away to Australia. We are glad she came, as we now exist and adore our Scotish heritage and are proud of it.
My dad used to sing me this song. Love it
This is one of my dads favourite songs who learnt it off my grandmother who was Scottish who married my grandfather who was English im proud to be part of my Scottish heritage

I can see just from the scenery and talk of the highlands how Nana missed Scotland. She came to Sydney Australia 1947 , 9 kids strong woman. Love ya Nana and miss ya. 🍀❤️

Really really miss him !
What, might I inquire, is a "simmit" ? I cannot find the word in any Scots dictionary.
Simmit is a vest.
I haven't heard this one before (and it might, all things considered, be for the best if I hadn't heard it now).
Im dcottish born and i love this song😊
Great music and words.
The Bruce!
"Born to be king": except that he was Polish and didn't speak a word of English
Great music

Conway Twitty
Not quite Andy Stewart, but a very amusing story about midges. I know the worst time is from June to September for these.
Beautiful voice
Beautiful!❤️❤️❤️
Loved to hear Kenneth on the radio, on TV, and on stage. He was always a great performer and entertainer both in song and character. Tremendous miss to Scotland.
😂funny song but midges are no laughing matter!
In my early 20s I first heard Kenneth Mckeller sing, that was it, I was sold. Always loved Scotland too. Huge loss.
I came looking for this singer because he was mentioned in the Hamish Macbeth book # 32. Pixie's channel with David Monteith is the best! Yes! A powerful voice worth listening to.
what a ROUSING Performance - thank X mr McKellar 🥰🥰🥰
Proud Scottish people! Greetings from Croatia! We love you!
Absolutely beautiful ❤️🏴
fantastic
I was born and raised in Inverness. When my Da married my English Mum, my Granddad wouldn't speak to her much. He came over one Sat afternoon to find my Mum playing Mr McKellar's album and singing. My Granddad sat quietly with her and they listened to the whole record together. From that day, my Granddad adored my Mum and praised my Da for marrying her. The power of music is enormous and I am blessed & grateful that my family fostered my love of all sorts of music throughout my life. Mr McKellar was a legend in my family :) Bless
Such a beautiful part of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
I grew up with Kenneth singing on the record player in our living room. Great voice!
I have similar memories with the big chest style record player that was in the corner. Dad would come home from work and say "I could hear that music at the bottom of the street. . ." Did you get a chance to see him in concert? I saw him on his last tour here in Australia and he sounded as good as (if not better than) the records or any other recordings.
Me too and always loved him. Wrote to him in my twenties and asked home where he might be performing,he said he’d be in Blackpool on a certain dates. I arranged to go there from west wales. I wanted to have his autograph, and asked the security if I could I could see him, he went to ask ,he came back and asked if I wasMrs Rees, you can imagine I proud I was he remembered my letter ,I was asked me to come to his dressing room.,had a chat and autograph. Was I a happy bunny.😊
