The OLDEST Archaeological Discoveries in Africa
Is Africa the cradle of humanity? Are all living humans descendants of ancient Africans? Genetic evidence says yes, but so does the archaeological evidence. The archaeological record of Africa contains many of the "firsts" associated with our human lineage - the oldest evidence of a given kind. In this video, I guide you through some of the oldest discoveries made throughout the African continent.

How did the human brain get so big? And why is it shrinking? The evolution of the human brain is mysterious. living in the Arctic as a Hunter/Fisher/Gatherer I can assure you, skirting the ice in boats would be easiest. Everything you need is along the ice, Birds, Bears, Fox, Seals, Otters, Fishing, fresh water atop, blubber for fuel in a drift wood lamp , clothing, rope and furs, meats and oils is easy enough. People have lived on the ice year round for hundreds of thousands of years. Skirting those glaciers would have been very doable.

4 million years is a long time for biotic evolution. The recent research I am aware of includes periods, like in one to three generations, of profound morphological and kinesthetic and cognitive changes in response to environmental pressures and the initiated behaviors of the species. So really fast changes from grandma to grandson can occur, especially with interbreeding among different copacetic hominins.

This video beautifully captures the essence of self-improvement as an evolutionary process. One of the most fascinating aspects is how neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new pathways, plays a pivotal role. Our brains are incredible at creating new neural connections, which allows us to develop and reinforce habits and behaviors that align with our Future Self visions. I love how the concept of neuroplasticity is woven into the idea of the brain forming a bias towards one future vision over another. This process can be seen as a form of microevolution, where small, consistent changes in our thoughts and actions lead to significant long-term transformations. It's empowering to realize that we have the ability to reshape our minds and lives through deliberate practice and focused intention. Kudos to the creators for highlighting this intricate and inspiring process!

The Amanita muscaria I found in Montclair New Jersey, Sebastopol CA and Puyallup WA. California also yeilded Datura, Jimson Wered, a delerient used by Chumash medicine people. Cannabis use and ephedra date back to earliest Paleo sites and among Norse Berserkers.
