RR1 - Acquiring a Reliant Robin
There's a lot of talking in this video, apologies!
This is the first episode, I guess, of a series in which I'll be unironically driving a Reliant Robin. No mucking about, no painting it yellow, not yet-another-review/intro to a three wheeled car. You know what it is.
As a prelude, I figured I'd show the adventure involved in acquiring the vehicle.
Music:
Time1019VISION's cover of 'The Gonk' by Herbert Chappell
Chapters:
0:00 Intro
0:38 The Distance
1:01 What about transporting it? (Shiply)
2:07 The plan
2:41 Costs of the plan
3:14 The trip down
3:38 Friday
5:06 Saturday
8:16 Sunday

A horror spoof, we meant to finish it properly, but it's fairly good as it stands. Plus one of the actors isn't available.
To answer your question about the gearstick, thats normal and was like every other car before about 1990 The gearstick goes directly into the gearbox, on a modern car you have a linkage and when you let go of the gearstick it would self center in the neutral position, on classics you don't get any of that Also you heater, that central vent is a fresh air vent only so you don't get heat out of it, heat only comes out of your side vents to your footwells or your windscreen, the heater valve also works opposite to the way you think....pushed all the way in is max heat, all the way out is full flow cold (so the engine doesn't run hot in summer) Your headlamp problem may be because someone has fitted the headlamp switch in upside down, if they've fitted it the way in the connector it won't work, if not it usually just dirty terminals on the fuse box oh and if you want a rear boot key you'll need a new lock, the lock is from a Metro pretty cheap on ebay good luck with it
Hi mate, very easy to repair. I have. owned one. 4. over 50 years. and use it today.
I recently bought one for my nephew, it was in Stockport nearly 250 miles away from Crawley where its garaged. I had tried to arrange transport but couldnt get meetups at Crawley, so my good pal drove it all the way on b roads. I was very nervous for him as it was bought sight unseen, he said it ran like a top and still hasnt put petrol in it. We had a mk1 some 40 years ago, this is a mk2 which I prefer
Need the full song 😂

lmao hilarious editing! if you do apc rush like that and 4 guys make it into pp you never waste time placing your timed. just go for motes, if all make it it´s dead and timer will never blow with so many gdi´s already aware.
I havent played this for 15 years but i always went with the timed first. I have a vague memory that sometimes they could glitch and the repair tool couldnt defuse them.

How do you do these memes?
As a piece of music this still stands up as far as I’m concerned.
oh man, a timeless classic.

This video is fucking legendary xD
I remember using this for 8th grade.
How did you solve the problem of having no window trim then?
I haven't! It's still like that. I'll try gluing a weatherstrip to my existing frame on the other side and see if I have any success
Mine was difficult to remove but wouldn't it be easy to put in by removing the small window?
+NathanMcM1 probably would be easier yes. To be frank my quarter Window needs replaced, it's rusty and missing part of its lock.
I have the same problem, surface rust around the quarter windows and really all the window edges which is a real pain and thats why i removed the strips in the first place. Really hope these strips aren't this bad to replace hahaha

Where did you buy this from originally? I am just about to buy one for my panda 4x4.
Sorry, I can't remember. It was an obscure Hong Kong company who make the system for loads of different cars.

Hello, I no longer have the radio or the car! I can't remember how I worked it out, but I think I must have first taken note of how the original radio was wired (which colours do which action) and then matched it up to the new system by looking at the diagram on the bottom (as you see in the video). Most of the cables match the same colour. In a Panda, you have the cable that comes from the dashboard, it connects to an ISO cable half, I then used the screw thing to attach it to the other half of the cable that connects to the new radio.
We don't even need SFM
So I'm getting ready to go to bed, and all of sudden this song pops into my head. It's been a long day so I'm feeling kind of hazy, but if I don't look the song up I would go crazy. Walla, here I am, watching this video all over again. It's been a good 3 years, and yet this song still feels good to my ears.
I'm gonna remake this in SFM.
Done yet?
