You don't have to include the 3811 form if you don't want to. That is an extra service and will cost more money. You can mail a Certified Letter with or without that form.

Do we need to mail a copy of our identification with the application? Does this need to be notarized? If not, it seems like anyone can submit a dba under anyone's name without verification. Can you please confirm? I'm trying to fill mine out as we speak.

Only issue is you cant prove what was IN the envelope sent. Im sure that can be a loophole for some slick lawyer in a case. Just playing devils advocate of course. :)

I appreciate you trying to offer help in filling out the TX change of agent form. I would suggest, that you have a script next time you make a video. I am disappointed that I am looking for a more comprehensive understanding of what's needed for the Change of Formation etc. While I don't assume that you are a lawyer, it would have been nice to hear certain definitions and additional explanations. For example. What is a registered Agent? You only offered us to read what's posted on the TX SOS site. Again, it would have been nice to hear the definition explained in an easier fashion. Are there other documents needed to file this form? Once submitted, what is returned to the business from the SOS? Honestly, this video did not offer any additional insight as to your video title.

I would suggest commenting about proof of dispatch AND proof of receipt before explaining the proof that Form 3811 will provide, i.e. need for proof of dispatch, receipt, and the importance of obtaining the certified receipt at the counter. In my experience, clients rely on tracking and overlook the distinction between delivery vs. receipt and proof of dispatch without realizing that tracking only verifies delivery. Nonetheless, great, concise presentation!
