    I think you need some practice. Challengers are super easy to fly, and your string slip indicator shows you don't understand the pedals. Plus your corrections on Final are terrible. You're all over the place with throttle as well. One of the reasons I disagree with the sport pilot license. You either know how to fly or you don't. It can be taught, but flying is an art understood by only so many.

    • @capndave3570
      @capndave3570 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, if only everyone were as expert a pilot as you. Isn't one of the purposes of practicing (i.e., touch and goes) to improve flying skills? If he didn't know how to fly, he wouldn't have been around to post this video.

      @@capndave3570 Thank you Dave. I was going to say that until I read that you already had. No matter what video you watch, such as a hunting video, there is always a loud mouth that thinks he knows everything and if you don't do it perfect, he lets you know it as if he always does it perfectly. He just a loudmouth that really doesn't know half what he thinks he does.

    • @whisperingeagle
      @whisperingeagle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He just overshot the base to final and a little behind the curve on stepping on the ball with the peddles. But truly most low time pilots have this problem . I just recently purchased a chl 2 lw. Looks stable to me , and i like the cub feel . Great glide and ability to e/0 thermal. I think the numbers of challengers flying and the low accident rate speaks clearly for the challenger.

    • @tomplatner8890
      @tomplatner8890 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +vince denimarck Vince , probably not interested, sorry, but if you are building , really its not that hard, take a thin stock paper, place in your panel and make a template of outside dimensions, then transfer to sheet metal stock... the burnishing you can do yourself also... just look around on internet for technique

    Thanks for posting your videos with the 2 views. I am looking at building a Challenger II LW. Do have a panel mount transponder, if so which is it & do you like it? And what mount with shield do you have with your GPS. That looks like it would be a good glare shield.

    • @tomplatner
      @tomplatner 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I bought a Microaire T2000 used with Atk350 encoder , picked the Microaire due to small panel footprint and generally happy with it. I had to install since plane is now at a class delta airport. The GPS mount is one of the RAM mounts and glare shield is custom made with a sheet of black plastic and velcro'd to the old Garmin GPS 296? If you get a modern GPS you might find a shield is not necessary. Good luck with planning for your own Challlenger!
