Billiards 4U
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 ต.ค. 2023
I played pool for years, never puting much time or energy into practicing. After doing well in a regional tournament, I decided to take my winnings and purchase a pool table so I could practice and improve my game.
I created Billiards 4U so I could share my journey along with drills, tips, entertaining clips, and other billiards related content. The drills and tips I share are designed specifically for newer players so I provide many visuals and examples.
If you are reading this I just want to say thank you for taking the time to look at my channel. Please Subscribe to my channel to show your support and if you have any feedback, suggestion, or video ideas please contact me at:

5 before 6 to the pocket
I wish you had goven your "Full Disclosure" comment that your "normal playing shaft" is a Jacoby Black. That would have saved me the 10-15 minutes I wasted watching a test/review basically assumed to be done on a "level playing field basis." As a student of human nature and having been subjected to some degree of learning about human bias in "supposed expetiments", I will rarely watch any that have a very high probability of "observer bias error" right at the get go. Suggest that if you wznt to be gondidered "credibke" and intend on doing comparative style reviews in future podcasts, that you indicate your starting "position" in the first 2-3 minutes.
that deep red jump shaft look amazing! what is it?
Nice! 👍🎱🇳🇿
I just found your page. You explain it simply and in a way I totally get! I’m a instant fan and now obsessed with your videos. Can’t wait to practice now! ❤
This is genius thank you 🙏
She looks like the woman version of Micheal from GTA in that first clip
I just rewatched to refresh my memory since I missed a couple of breakouts during recent matches. Ok, so with a refreshed memory accuracy returned. Thanks for doing these vids.
Great review. Subscribed to your channel. I play with a Jacoby Black v3 11.8 (got it before the v4 came out). I love the shaft. Best CF shaft I have used from Revo, Cynergy, and Ignite. Do you have a "What's in the case" video of your gear?
McDermott Defy is hands down the worst cf shaft I've ever played with. The feel the sound the hit are all bad and nowhere near the $400 price point they have it at.
I can attest to this, that shaft have no business being that expensive lmao
This is really a guy's video that you made. Thank you so much.
That was really good position play. You're a solid player.
love the clear and concise videos....great demos
Great video! I’m always learning more every day. I’ve struggled with safety plays and break-out shots. These will definitely help!
New subbie here! 🤗 This jumping video made me subscribe. You make jumping look so easy and you explain it so simply as well. I’ve been shooting pool over 45 years and I still have trouble jumping. 😢 With this video, I’m going to practice your methods. I look forward to many new videos from you!
😁
Not a lot of comments, but you did a great job of teaching through visual and auditory communication. The third aspect of learning 'kineticly' is on us. Excellent!
Very creative! ♥️
Wow, so many naysayers, I love the wrong shots for you and the one that works for you. Excellent!
It looks nice for practice but when you do it in a game it may look like you are calling the pocket across from it. Might be better to do it not fully extended or imagine the line and do the second and 3rd steps only during a game. The only problem I see here is that in your banking examples, all the example spots you've chosen are the natural bank locations already and at slow speed you can just remember to hit before the diamond, after the diamond or in between them for your first example. Btw the kicking line could be over your ghost ball instead of the OB so that you stop hitting the other balls and you get the angle of that shot you are desiring. :)
I'd like the whole lesson please and thank you
need more of these . Keep up the good work ! I appreciate u
I use a defy and a Meucci carbon pro…..defy definitely has more power, but hard to control and easy to impart too much English
I'd do the first shot. You need better speed control. I'd rather power draw it back and down with a little left English. I realize most people can't do that though. If your opponent isn't an awesome player, I'd leave your ball in front of the pocket and not leave your opponent a shot on the 8.
I like this video 9-Ball Table Run Walkthrough No Side Spin excellent details and good break and run keep those videos coming.
He didn’t hit the point
Why not add what you did differently??? Sheesh.
1st option to much a risk of a scratch with 3 imo
Earlier this year I purchased a Viking cue with a Siege 12.25 mm shaft. Hadn't even held a CF before purchasing, which might sound crazy but... I was committed and not going to lie, the new cue took a month of hard work to get used to. Had the same issue as you had with the defy, hand stuck to the shaft and I'm forced to play with a glove. I've been shooting the best I ever have. I've enjoyed the journey and I'm happy with my Viking!
ayo bL like
What cue is that? Looks like a Schon
Great review. Ordered a Jacoby cf shaft. Excited to shoot exclisively with it.
Can anyone explain to me why its necessary to imagine a parallel line to the aim point????
its not needed to imagine, but needed to make a "aiming system"... a useless one
I personally think this aiming system is a bunch of bs
Thanks for this review. Could you also test Whyte Carbon Wood Grain carbon fiber shaft please?
the pressure technique 👍👍 Good player
Appreciate this thanks
Thank you!!
Great video, really practical and useful information presented in a very clear manner.
Sorry but this is bad advice..
That shot would be risky for me
Full tutorial plz!!!!
I think my comment was deleted, but I wanted to give a followup. WPA rules (used by CSI/BCAPL) doesn't specifically say it's a foul, although that might be implied. WPA open table section 2-5 says "The table is always open on the shot after the break and remains open until groups are established. When the table is open, all object balls except the 8-ball are legal object balls. For combination shots, a ball of one group may be contacted first to pocket a ball of the other group. The 8-ball may be part of such a combination if it is not the first ball contacted by the cue ball." This seems to imply that hitting the 8 first is a foul, but it could be interpreted in a more limited way that it just can't hit first to establish groups, which is what BCA rules state.
1-19 Legal Shot (AR p. 87) 1. For a shot to be legal, the first ball contacted by the cue ball must be a legal object ball, or a simultaneous hit with a legal and illegal object ball may occur. After that contact: a. b. any object ball must be pocketed, or; any object ball or the cue ball must contact a cushion. It is a foul if one of those requirements is not met.
@@billiards4U I think it comes down to what's legal on an open table, which is a special case. I also wanted to mention that CSI owns BCAPL but not BCA. And CSI seems to use WPA rules for 8 ball. It's the "BCA" and "WPA" that appear to differ on whether it's legal to contact the 8 first on an open table. BCA says it's fine. However, in neither case is it allowed toward establishing a group. I'm still looking for a definitive answer if there is any circumstance in which it's not a foul to contact the 8 ball first on an open table under CSI rules.
Been burned by that enough to really think those through
💯
Soft top, rolls it forward it looks.
You got it!
The forward roll if done well is much more practical in a game than risking the kick with high percentage of not making it.Only time you do the 2nd option is when you have mastered that shot which is slim.
This is better postion 8Ball that's smart play.
On the second one.
Absolutely nobody is going to play that shot. Just shoot it straight and look for a little bounce on the short rail
Im putting a little top and sending the cue off the cushion next to the eight on the oppo side
☓と✓では分かりにくい😅
