Griots Ceramic Speed Shine, Jimbos Tough ad Shell , BC3 detailer and Phoenix EOD TITAN. Of these detailers, which one is the easiest to use in direct sun? Is it about ease of use? Is it about availability? Is it about co$t? What are the factors that you consider when buying a Detailer/drying aid? I mist admit, all of these products were easy to use, slick and glossy. I feel that Griot's is hard...

    The only problem with Chem-X is the very high price compared to other chemicals out there which are probably just effective. Chem-X needs to make their Stars and Stripes about HALF of what they are charging people. WAY TOO HIGH. I would love to try out the Chem-X Stars and Stripes and Snake Oil, and compare it to the Wash Chems I have which is cheaper, ONE product, and does an excellent job.

    • @detailit
      @detailit 53 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      Washchems is a good option for fleet stuff. The BIGGEST advantage to Stars & Stripes is they are Non etching, they Neutralize each other and that drastically cuts the risk of streaks, stains and or etching. I have heard some stuff about Washchems streaking piano pillars etc. Stars & Stripes is also safe on bare aluminum, Washchems is not recommended for bare aluminum. Stars and Stripes is, in my opinion, the BEST touchless system. I have used 5 or 6 different ones! You should try them; well worth the money for the quality.

      @@detailit Thanks for the response. Yeah, it sounds like a pretty cool system. It's just those gosh awful high prices for the amount of chemical you get. Even that snake oil is $70 a bottle. There are at least 50 other spray on rinse off Si02 infused sealants now days that work the same for 1/3 the price. Again, sounds like a pretty good system and I have heard good things from other TH-cam channels who have reviewed them. I might get around to trying it some day.

    I really want to give the 2-step Chem-X Stars and Stripes system a try but it's so darned expensive compared to Wash Chems' which is only a single step system but much cheaper than Chem-X. I want to give the entire Chem-X line a try as I have heard good things about their products and how well they work.

    A Eley hose reel, hose, and all the accompanying accessories (sprayer head, connections, quick connects, etc) are in my future "dream set up"! I have always wanted the entire Eley set up! Maybe one day. I also want to get a wall mounted pressure washer set up in my garage. That's in my near future hopefully. I am going to have a professional plumber install all the water lines (hot and cold) out to my garage and then get my son in law to help me install the actual pressure washer system from Obsessed Garage for either their Kranzle set up or their Comet pressure washer set up. The Comet is half the price, is Italian made, and got pretty good reviews from all the reviews I saw on TH-cam of the Comet set up. It's not nearly as popular as the Kranzle, but it's still an awesome unit and would be perfect in my garage. I'm not a pro, just an enthusiast so the Comet set up will be perfect for me as it will only be used once or twice per week. I'd love the have the Kranzle, but not sure I want to pay double just to have the fanciest pressure washer available. We'll see which one I ultimately decide upon.

    Something i always do is drench my pad with water, squeeze it out, then put it on my DA and spin it on high for about 20-30 seconds and then start applying my polish to the pad. Even tho you spin the pad dry, it is still damp and it makes a big difference, to me anyway. Give it a try, I bet you'll like it.

    I feel honored, my name is immortalized in a Detail It video. Thanks for the comparison, extremely helpful. I appreciate the information. The logical side of me knows that I don’t need the bubbles for the soap to work - the detergent is doing its job, regardless. However, the illogical side of my brain needs to see the buddle. The ultimate placebo effect, I guess. I’ll give the Dragon a shot. I’m not worried about micro scratches in the paint. Up until a few years ago, I used whatever to wash my car - old wash rag, crappy sponge, wet cat, etc. The stuff I use now is way better. Take it for what it’s worth.

    Curious to see how it came out. Cerakote isn’t supposed to be applied in the sunlight. How much do you think that affected the flash time?

      Oh the heat and sun cuts flash time in half or more depending on heat and humidity I believe. TBH it's still there and works. I've heard that this original formula wasn't too good and they have redone it and now it's Great!

      @@detailit my friend coated his zl1-1le with the original version and it’s still great. Been almost a year maybe? I just coated my 2024 Kia forte last night with new version, it’s slick to the touch. I coated my zl1 with gyeon pure evo a few months back and it’s amazing. Cerakote was much easier to apply though.

      @@detailit the best part, the new 2ah is as strong as the old 5ah, so you can save weight for the same power. or get the new 5ah for a bit of a boost, I prefer the weight saving.

      I was pleasantly surprised. Slick to the touch, flashes off pretty quick after the original Mop up. Seems like really good stuff!
