Wow, lush and green back then. Great trail back then for a mountain bike too. I guess it'll be a while before it comes back to it's former glory. I guess as soon as it becomes lush and green again, some discusting Antifa victim-of-society arsonist will light a match there. I would prefer to do a trail like this on my e-mountain bike because I like the peacefulness of that kind of ride much better than my DRZ400. When it's peaceful, you feel much more like you're really in nature, and you can enjoy it much more. Mountain bikes are also so much less of a headache than a dirt bike too; especially in California. This video is 10 years old and your camera does a much better job than most of the newer cameras people use now, for some reason.

It needs some intelligent software to make it drive more easier, but even without that it is an engneering marvel. I think this is a breakthrough in offroad industry. Hope to see a production version of this offroader one day.

I just went up the trail last Sunday and it is a disaster! You can see in this video the tracks from a Skidd Steer that just went through there. This trail is haggard now!

I spoke too soon, after the 9 minute mark it turns into what the rest of the trail is now.

Super jealous. We just walked this trail and it is nothing like this. Rock gardens and obstacles galore. Still doable, but would be nice to have a trail just like this so close to home.

Where is this?

How are you getting power to the wheels? Is it a motor per wheel at the end of each arm or just transferred down the arms? Also how you steering them aswell?

Thats an amazing piece of machinery. Great build it truly has no limit it goes where you want it to and with no struggle it just crawls easily and smooth. Well great job again

Very cool and ingenious but in my opinion, it’s not needed. There comes a point where you can have too much flex, or the extra flex is meaningless, kinda like how you can have too much ground clearance to be useful. Like with ground clearance, with the track of the tires you get to the point where there is simple just very few situations where you need more. Same with flex. For the wheel base and the traction you can get from tires, there comes a point where more flex doesn’t do anything. Plus, this demonstration and vehicle is all about keeping the vehicle level when flexing. If you take a very flexible normal buggy and allow it to lean to raise the upper tire more, you can get close enough to this to make it unnecessary.
