We used to live at a rented house only about 1 km away from Padmanabha swamy temple. Both my parents worked in the same office and their office building was the same one in which currently the 'wax museum ' operates at the 'south street' . It was in the year 1977 when I was only 4 years of age that I was taken to the nursery school that too was only some 250 meters away from this office building.... I used to daily walk with my mother from our house to the nursery school . After that my mother used to go back to her office building .I still unclearly remember watching this weird old women sitting at the office building entrance with lots of bangles, ornaments, baggage(bhantakettu) etc etc in one of those routine walks. I asked about her to my mother and my mother replied to me that it was a poor old begger . By this time, I already was a bit familiar with the office building and its surroundings because of entering these premises quite a few times. So, when I saw this strange woman in that royal atmosphere of the office building and its surroundings , the entire thing appealed a bit mystic to my 'little brain' . After staying in this rented house for about 12 years, we moved to our own house which was at about 6 or 7 kms away from Padmanabha swamy temple.Though stayed in Trivandrum for several years after this, I now remember meeting this strange women only once in the event I already specified in my entire life. When I came across these several clippings related to this poor woman , I called my mother who is staying along with my brother in Trivandrum to enquire more about her. My mother told me that she used to see this woman lots and lots of times during her offfice days and that she spent vast majority of her time at the entrance gate at the extreme end of this office building(not the main entrance gate).Mother also told me that at that time she too only knew that this woman's name was 'sundari Chellamma' and that she got mentally unstable because of her love towards the King and nothing more.Mother told this too that I too had actually seen her during my walk to nursery school and office building along with her. Now , when I came across these details about this unfortunate soul, that event of meeting her for the first and only time(as per myself because of myself being soo young to recollect memories of seeing her other times,but not my mother ) came to my mind. May this poor unfortunate soul gets eternal happiness in her eternal stay along with the King of Kings, Lord Sree Padmanabha.
