    The first one isn’t an error. It all boils down to how high your box is. All are technically correct. Don’t call the first one an error because point of the box jump is to clear the box.

    • @svgolfperformance
      @svgolfperformance 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The point of an effective box jump is to reduce the impact of landing on the floor from a conventional squat jump. Box height, therefore, is key to the vertical force production being developed.

  • @MJBAKANemoStrong
    @MJBAKANemoStrong หลายเดือนก่อน

    Honestly, it's irrelevant; as long as the initial force off the ground is maximized, it doesn't matter what you do with your knees after; the force has already been applied. If you want to jump on to a high box you can't without bending the knees, THEN BEND THE KNEES. IT REALLY IS IRRELEVANT TO THE FORCE AT THE BOTTOM.

    • @MJBAKANemoStrong
      @MJBAKANemoStrong หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is also an additional load applied on impact with the box if your knees are high to your chest; when you land, you have to then drive upward to stand straight at the end of the rep. So technically, higher boxes, with bringing your knees in, allows for more work per rep. Better gains doG!

    • @svgolfperformance
      @svgolfperformance หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct. The take-off force is all that matters. However, the height of the box serves as a constraint for the max take-off force. If the objective is achieving the highest possible box jump, that is different to achieving maximum take-off force, and the increased development of this force.

    Very informative and helpful, many golfers could really benefit from the information and calm presentation. Seems as if we have a mental or visual idea of how to swing early on. If you are older and admire the era of Nicklaus, Watson, Miller- probable more upright or vertical and prone to extend up. Leadbetter most likely ushered in more rotational and setting visuals.. so many of us are caught in between and not sure where or when in sequence to use forces and motions….And each week golf instruction floods the air with segments of tips featuring all version ofeach and every conceivable mixed matchups-adding more confusion.

    This is great advice. If strength and mobility is lacking the forces generated by swinging a golf club at speed can easily damage the body. The app is great as it keeps me on track and progression comes naturally as the principles of strength and conditioning are at work. I'd like to see someone do a proper deep dive into the data to see the best strategy for 15 handicappers and above. For us guys and girls I think keeping it in play is the prime motive off the tee. So long as your 3rd shot (assuming a par4) allows you a realistic chance of getting it on the green somewhere near the flag to make a 2 putt, net par. It's interesting, I love decade golf and I'm not suggesting your info isn't correct for better players but I've found my golf is considerably more consistent when I take 7w off most tees, and make sure to just keep the ball in play. I can shoot 88 to 92 by doing that easily. When I bring the driver out more often I can shoot 82 but I can also shoot 98.

    • @svgolfperformance
      @svgolfperformance 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you keep any strokes gained statistics? This should give you a clear indication of how many strokes you are gaining or losing with driver v 7w for your handicap and he'll choose the best strategy for your level. DECADE isn't a one size fits all approach or handicap bias, it's more a framework for making consistently better decisions. Knowing your individual strokes gained data I believe, is essential for all golfers to help maximise their scoring.

    The tip with the kettlebell makes crazy sense. I've watched literally half a dozen videos on how to hip hinge and they rarely explained it adequately. They all made it look like it was just bending over. But giving the tip of using the kettlebell in line with the heels makes so much sense because it gives your hands something to "target" so I know the rest of my body is falling in line properly.

      Great question. In short, it can and often does. However, the main cause of EE is how the hands and club are moving in transition, so this has to be connected and develop with a better pressure shift for you to stop the movement. I've a video come out soon that Will explain this in more detail.
