If you take a peek at what Trent Reznor has been up to and go listen to Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department, there have been several mysteries all beginning to converge together and collide into each other 🤣😭❤️.

@@ShannonH.-ry2vf All these couple of days I have been going through Alan Wake 2 with my friend and LORD, now I understand everything that you said in full. you're absolutely right. listening to excerpts of this song through each chapter simply evoked special emotions in me that are difficult to convey verbally. it just... made me look at the screen in fascination, feel longing for what I had passed and admiration for what would happen next. if we are talking about the song itself as a whole, then I must say that each song in the game is truly small parts of something absolutely great. and btw ty for telling me about trent reznor, i will dig up in this soon...

She is. New album in October. Taylor Swift left some clues. We’ll also be getting a new NIN album, and I’m hoping we get a Trent/Poe collab somewhere in there. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and several other composers have been up to some shenanigans the past few years 🤣🤣🤣.

Poe is supposed to be releasing a new album in October. We’re also possibly getting a new NIN album. If you go check out Taylor Swift’s album for Tortured Poets Department and watch the Fortnight video, she has some references to Poe and Trent Reznor. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a Poe/NIN collab. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have been up to some shenanigans with their music compositions 🤣. I’m so here for it! And I believe there is an Alan Wake reference on the new song Big Black X on the band X’s new album Smoke and Fiction.

This one is different. The version here is also different from the one that's in the actual game now. I think the song in game has changed more than once which is sort of tripping me out. Has anyone else noticed that?

She got cucked by a merger between AOL and Time Warner in the early 2000s, her contract went into the limbo. She cannot publish sounds that earn her money under the name Poe outside of movies/games. I've read that this might change soon. It's very sad what happened to her.

@@drymeen Nah thats been done and over for over 10 years now bro. The real question is what is taking her so long to release a new album now. That merger was the biggest stake in the heart of her career because the merger was fucking terrible to begin with. We were robbed of the chance of ever seeing those 3 poe albums after haunted.

I first heard of RE from Control, I heard it was heavily inspired by HoL and I flipped! Only to come and find out Alan Wake 1&2 both also have major inspiration AND they have Poe featured? It’s like one of the craziest crossovers and just makes me so happy! Hope you’re enjoying the book 🫰🏼

"Haunted" was her second album, her first was "Hello." You should definitely check it out!

We are all legit in a labyrinth or on the Lost Highway and I find it funny that she makes a reference to a downward spiral because Taylor Swift makes a reference to Poe and Nine Inch Nails on Tortured Poets Department. I’m crossing my fingers with some clues I’ve been gathering, we may end up seeing an amazing Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross collab with Poe 😍.

If only! I hate to say but she loves to drop hints and then go silent. She shared a new song via the Periscope app years ago and teased early work on "This Road" at the same time - but that was at least 8 years between her sharing the recording process and the actual release of the song. On an unrelated note, that icon you use is cute! Where'd you get it made or did you draw it yourself?

Same thing happened with The Cure albums that were announced and Robert Smith said were finished, but then we still haven’t seen the new albums drop yet and have just been waiting and waiting. There have been some shenanigans taking place that Poe seems to be part of in creating a gigantic masterpiece 🤣. This road is pretty epic and on a grand scale beyond just Alan Wake 😆. I’m pretty sure of it.

Didn't know American Nightmare licensed her song! That's awesome! I still can't believe it took 10 years from the "September 30 1955" video to evolve into this genius track.

You mean Alan Wake's American Nightmare? Didn't know the score included Terrible Thought wow. But no wonder still, it was Haunted first in AW.

I could have seen Pink Floyd doing this track in an alternative universe lol. Kind of up there with Julia Dreams. Especially towards the end: "Will the misty master break me? Will the key unlock my mind? Will the following footsteps catch me? Am I really dying?" As it starts to trail off into an eerie tripiness.

Better quality than what was uploaded before. It’s mixed better

The mix on the original "official" video was very quiet, and I was able to get it in good quality and boost the mix so it plays about the same audio level as anything you'd stream off YT Music/Spotify/iTunes

@@AloofBaloo Would you have the original audio files you uploaded to TH-cam with, or maybe a place I could find the ripped Alan Wake 2 music files? The one website I frequent for game soundtrack rips doesn't have Alan Wake 2.
