From what I hear, the chorus isn’t quite right. And for the verses, the chords are Em-Bm-C-Em-Bm, but are modified.

when you are strumming the chords which skip the low E, are you muting it with your fretting hand or just precise strumming?

Great lesson, Carl. I've just re-taken up the mandolin after a hiatus of 50 years. I've amazed myself that I can still remember lots of jigs and reels, but thought I'd add a bit of surprise REM to my repertoire. Now sounding pretty good, thanks to you.

when do each verse, chorus start and end?

Your second chord is an Em not an A

you miscounted , E minor was number { 1 } a variation of a B minor 7 was number { 2 } C was number { 3 } and number 4 is a variation of E minor and not number 3 the 4 chord was not named . But at the end of the day it does not matter .i very much liked your tutorial .

Steppenwolf live they play in the key of G. My question is what the heck are they playing at the chorus ?
