What would you recommend on a ski resort like Val Thorens?

@@yt_support-03 yes plenty of parking spaces just out the front. There’s actually a surprising amount of spaces in the town all of which are a few minute walk to the hotel, so either way, you’ll be fine 👍

@@avrilhay8281 I was actually pleasantly surprised! Plus the staff are all lovely, it felt very welcoming. I felt like I wouldn’t fit it, but in the end it was great!

@@avrilhay8281 happy to say all beaches in Barbados are public. Including beachfront of any hotel. Glad this is the case 👍

@@Igoplaces it’s a great location, half way between Oistins fish market and the west coast snorkelling with turtles! Very easy to get around, and lovely big sandy beach

I went there, it’s fine, can sometimes be windy because of its location on the island, but that actually is nice, as otherwise it gets way too hot

@@Igoplaces it can be… but for the majority of the time and year it is beautiful ! It’s fairly large with a few rocks off to the right if you want to go exploring 🤙

Definitely, they can be quite slippery and are high in places. Although there is a nice route round the corner

All in it cost £2,050 for the week, but that included private transfer (usually 250..?), lift pass (around 500) and unlimited food and drink obviously. Plus lessons everyday and a great hotel. Having skied for many years, although expensive, this is very good value for what you get, and the ease of the trip. Plus I was solo, so I think if you have two in the room it’s more like 2800 but between two that’s even better value.

@@findyourstay the lowest price I could get is 2500€, how did you get this price? Maybe you ordered long enough time before the vacation?

@@roeedotan1860 quite the contrary actually, I ordered quite late. This was early December, that might be the reason. Also! FYI I saw they’re having a sale soon, 27th-29th march apparently! Will be cheaper to book then. They’ve probably increased their prices before this sale

@@roeedotan1860 good question… unfortunately they don’t seem to say. I would suggest calling them to see if they have any last minute deals if you need something this year. They sometimes have last minute coupons, if i find one I’ll let you know 👍

Hi, and since you offered (LOL): Do you think it's worth the extra money to rent (hire) skis from the Club? All other stores off the resort property seem to be much less money when reserving ahead. And i'm not sure if you took lessons, but can we book when we arrive? I can't seem to reserve/book anything ahead of time at the ClubMed website. (I'm on a group trip not solo)

@@marcirubin8997 skis yes, I would say for ease, it’s worth it, it saves probably 2 hours of hassle as you can get get them from and leave them in your locker. Plus if you want to change your boots, you can do it in the ski room, rather than having to hike up to the rental shop. Lessons wise, yes, on the day you arrive, they put on a big event in the bar and you can sign up there 👍 or they have a desk near reception

August will be lovely! I was there around that time, usually 30c, can get hotter, but the water is a perfect temperature. No need for water shoes, the beach is great, a pair of flip flops is ideal, you can just leave them on the beach 👍 have a great time!
