I enjoyed your concise and informative video. My wife and I have visited Nagoya on multiple occasions, but this location was previously unknown to us. We will certainly include it in our itinerary for March.
I hope you enjoy it when you visit!
What an amazing video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
How far away the devices can connect to the pocket wifi ? 100ft , 200ft ?
HI had a question, i have a flight from LAX to Osaka. i have a layover in Tokyo ( Haneda Airport) what is the exact proses when landing? based off of the videos that i have seen. we would land in terminal 3, go through customs, get our luggage, take a bus to terminal 1, re- check in our luggage, and go through security again to get back in to the airport? sorry just want to make sure i plan this all accordingly
I think you recheck your luggage at T3, before getting on bus. I haven’t done a connecting flight through Tokyo since the early 2000’s. Steps may have changed since then.
very helpful
superbly clear explanation. thank you
Glad it was helpful!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍
I don't know if you two are still replying to this video. I'm staying at a sister hotel of the Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda and they have free shuttle bus to and from the airport. Should I ask the hotel staff or the bus ticketing staff about it?
I’m not sure to which hotel you are referring, but if it were me, I’d contact the hotel before leaving for Japan. Don’t know where you’re flying from, but jet lag makes it hard for me to think straight. So I would have an idea of where to go before departing.
What about Uber or Taxi to Tokyo city??? As we are elderly.....hahahahahaaaaaaa...... Expensive to travel with Uber???
A taxi isn’t as expensive from Haneda airport as it is from Narita. To go from Haneda to Tokyo Station will be around ¥8,000. I don’t use Uber in Japan. There are so many real licensed taxis, that it seems needless to use Uber. The Taxi Go app is better than Uber. The train from the airport will run you no more than ¥700 to the same location.
I loved it. So illustrative. Thank you so much . I´ll be staying in Akihabara, God willing . Blessings
You are very welcome
I loved this video. Hiking is so magical....
thankyou! Do you have a video about booking train tickets/how early should I booked all my train tickets?
Not yet!
Thank you! The maps with the red circles were so helpful. Such an excellent presentation.
Glad it was helpful!
Not Kee-yo-toh. It is Kyo-to, only 2 syllables not 3. If you know so much about Japan you should know the correct pronunciation of the place you are talking about.
Thank you 🙏
When saying the names of cities in other languages it is a given that they will change from the original pronunciation, thats why we say Pa-ris not Pa-ree. This is for a western audience who will be used to hearing it this way.
@@diddlybop Kyoto is always 2 syllables. It is the correct pronunciation in every language.
Oh give them a break and take your intolerance out on something else. They never claim to know “so much” about Japan. They are just foreigners with an enthusiasm and love of the country. Perhaps appreciate this rather than flinging insults.
@@willowmallow Not intolerance, just a correction. I lived in Kyoto for 4 years and I love the country. And I learned correct pronunciation as a form of respect of my Japanese hosts.
My suitcase is about 27 inches x 19 x 12, which is considered medium-sized by the manufacturer. Will that be acceptable for the shinkansen? 🥺
As long as the sum of all sides is less than 63 inches, you’ll be good to go. 27+19+12=58, so you’re good 👍 Just an FYI: if the suitcase measures more than 63, all you need to do is reserve the seats at the back of one of the train cars. This allows you to store your large bag behind the seat. However, you don’t need to do this. You will need to be able to lift and store the suitcase in the overhead luggage storage. Don’t worry, it’ll hold your suitcase.
@@JapanandMoreTours Thank you so much. That's really helpful. I will keep everything you said in mind. 😊
Can you uou make one of these videos for Osaka?
Very helpful video, i think i will stay near the station
Great video! How much would the bus ticket cost, since the monorail costs roughly 650 yen and i would like to compare prices to choose the best one. Thanks!
The monorail from T3 to Hamamatsucho (the last stop) is ¥520. Then you’ll have to change to another line to get to your final destination. Most limousine buses are ¥1,000+, depending on your final destination. They both have advantages and disadvantages.
So nicely explained. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
So beautifully explained. Thanks
You’re very welcome.
Thank you for video. I’ve seen a number of these videos. However, no one has mentioned anything about prescription medication that is life changing that people will need while there. Especially if they are not staying longer than 10 days. Will I be detained for illegal drugs? I wish someone would address this concern.
We have an article about taking meds to Japan here: japanandmore.com/a-guide-for-bringing-medication-to-japan/
awful wifi there
That’s why we recommend some type of SIM card or Pocket WiFi Router. -> th-cam.com/video/AxnC8p3Nxck/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Public WiFi in Japan is spotty on a good day.
Thank u! I think we arrive a day late to see the September one this year
Have fun!
Oh i had no idea about this , thanks!
Happy to help!
Good video! Thank u!
Thank you too!
Perfect thx
You're welcome!
Thank u so much! Im t mobile too. Ok 5 devices per wifi.
Hi this is a great video! Thank you! Should each person get their own pocket, Wifi if we are all traveling together? We will be a group of four.
It depends if you plan to stick together everywhere you go. If not, you may want to consider multiple pocket WiFi routers or a couple eSIMs. Contact your cell phone provider to make sure your phone is capable of using eSIM before purchasing. However, if your phone can connect to WiFi at home, then it’ll connect to the pocket WiFi router.
Absolutely fantastic. Was just there a couple of months ago and this is EXACTLY what you need to know. Small addition. They do have bus ticket machines outside right at the bus stops, and it seems they are trying to really get people to use electronic bus tickets. I think they were even a little cheaper.
Great to hear! Thanks for the updated information. 👍🙏
Nice Crisp Information. ❤
🙏 Thank you 🙏
Thanks so much for this - it is so well done!
Glad you like it!
It's sad that some of these things need to be pointed out. Many of them are common sense and should be considered rude everywhere, not only Japan. But, super helpful - thank you for these (and all your other Japan videos) tips!
Great info! Delivered beautifully thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow! This is SO WELL DONE and TIMELY! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I have a red eye flight arriving at 4:30am. Any suggestions of what to do until our hotel check in time around 2pm?
Hotels in Japan don’t usually allow early check in, unless you have some kind of status with the hotel. However, they will hold your luggage for you until check in. You’ll want to focus on things out side, to hold off the jet lag. Doing museums or long train rides will only make you feel more tired. Enjoy your trip!!
Year 2024, people all over the world don't throw away garbage, they recycle them and make another garbage to sell it back to you. 😅😅😅
Excellent video. Recommend updating the video to include the JR pass ticket office location and hours of operation.
Good idea!
Will there be free WiFi while waiting for the transit flight?
The airport has free WiFi.
Thanks!!
Is sushi an exception to the no dining with hands rule?
Yes. Onigiri also.
Thanks for the info
Hi there, I stumbled across your profile, and thank you for this informative information. Very helpful. I am going with my son at the beginning of October for 11 days! This is great news for us! :)
Glad it was helpful!
What if you aren't wearing socks. Should you carry socks with you?
Yes 👍 that’s a good idea.
Thanks for introducing Japan and Japanese culture. 👍
The UK is dead. I want to live in Japan.
I love this contents ♥️, Thank you.
Hello, very informative video. We will be travelling next year to Tokyo and trying to find a hotel so this helps. Do you have a video on the hotel recommendation. What do you recommend for choosing bed size. Many have single or double, so wondering if a double will fit two adults comfortably.
I deeply miss Tokyo 😢
Hi. My flight is going to land at 1 a.m at T3 Haneda airport. I have absolutely no idea what kind of public transportation system I can find at that time to take me to my hotel room. Could you please help and support? Thanks.
Public transportation shuts down pretty early. A taxi may be your best option with a flight coming in at 1AM.
@@JapanandMoreTours What about the airport shuttle buses? Have you ever tried to use them after midnight?
They shut down before the trains. You can try to contact your hotel and ask them for the best way to get to the hotel from the airport.
@@JapanandMoreTours Then what is your opinion about this table ? www.tripadvisor.com/ExternalLinkInterstitial?redirectTo=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.limousinebus.co.jp%2Fwww%2Fpdf%2Fnews%2Fkaisei_20231220.pdf
These late buses only go to Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. However, I think it would be stressful to try and catch a 2:20AM bus with a 1:00AM arrival.
Hi and thanks for the video very informative. I’m traveling there with my daughter in Nov and staying at the Sheraton Grande on the bay. Is the best way to grab a bus? I’m looking online and can see many options but a little confused. Any help with a simple explanation appreciated. Thanks guys
