I did the same cabin filter change (I've done it a couple times now). Worked great no issues excepttttt a day later and now my trunk wont open on it's own - it only will close mechanically, to open I have to crawl through the trunk to pull the lever. One small difference between my swap and yours was that I disconnected my battery in the trunk to make sure I don't get a face full of airbag. I checked my battery, and it's good to go. Checked my valet lock and it's off and my key fob battery is new. Did I maybe hit one of my fuses while changing the cabin air filter? This is driving me nuts.

When your oil filter socket gets stuck hold the cap and twist the socket the opposite way from what your were doing so if it get stuck loosening just revere your ratchet and it’ll pop right off
