This happened to my galil when i attempted to load a round once, brand new gun, could it be it just needs to be ran and itll work itself out

Extremely slow hand cycle caused this you always have to to it quickly if you do it slowly on an FN 5.7 it's gets stuck

One thing everyone is missing is the mag.

Check the tolerance of the parts. The affordable ARs are almost never correct. Also, it sounds like the gas block was not pinned as it should be. People get what they pay for

Misaligned gas block and too heavy of a buffer.

Drill out the gas port SLIGHTLY and itll work fine. Go through routine maintenance first and if it has an adjustable gas block, put it on the next setting to allow more gas. After all that is checked, drill it out. just a little will do. It doesn't look like its had 3000+ rounds so i personally dont think its gas rings but its an easy check to see if they are good by turning the bcg upside down to see if it holds its own weight up.

It was immediately apparent it's either under gassed or misaligned gassblock (causing a under gassed issue) maybe maaaaaybe buffer weight or spring since it's a "pistol"

Had the same issue. Mine was the gas block that lost its alignment with the gas port. PSA upper, 8.5” 300BLK, pistol length gas system.

Of the thousands of m4 style rifles I’ve had to repair, I may have run into an actual issue with gas rings once. It’s almost never the rings, unless you buy one of those gimmicky one piece setups that everyone thinks is better. Its not. With a normal set up, one ring can even break completely (I demo that by firing with only two work out rings) and the other two will get the job done. I’ve demonstrated this in teaching other people how to diagnose and fix gas issues.

When I bought my first AR last year after I took it home I stripped it down to clean it and lube it and noticed the gas rings on the BCG notches were all together. I was told they need to be spaced out. Is this correct?

I just bought one like the one in the opening of the video but mine has a different camo pattern called Desert Shadow. Haven't found another like it online. Love that it's mag fed. Anybody know the exact model? I know it's a model 1500 but I have never found a video or anything about that model.

Price change makes it way more enticing, ammo cost is in line. What I like more is that you are now not in what looks like individual stalls. Now a group can shoot together and the crap talking and hand jesters can be seen and heard like when we are outdoors. It is a group sport to some of us.

It’s a 700pss, one of the earlier versions. The HS precision stock had a DBM offering on the first ones, which is what this is. Scope looks to be too high since it doesn’t have an adjustable check rest.

I would guess a misaligned gas block. Has this issue with a bushmaster a while back.

I had a new upper do this and when I sent it back they said the gas port was undersized.

I had an issue like that myself and the gas key on the bolt carrier was leaky (to put my technical term on it). My personal take is to replace the gas key.

Round is ejecting behind the 90 degree mark, normally means undergassed. If it is non-adjustable gas system then check the gas block first, might also be running too heavy of a buffer or the wrong buffer. I ported my 8.5 300 blk because it wasn't cycling subs when suppressed.

Mag didn’t look like it was seated right, but then again I don’t pay attention to what the front looks like, but looking at this the gap looks weird lol

I would clean the gas system first and make sure it is aligned correctly.
