come play with me brother. I have to say, I haven't had this much fun in a long time! I forgot how much I used to enjoy original KartRider, even though all I do is crash. It's nice to be able to enjoy the game casually and still get many cool rewards for free (perm cars, cosmetics, lootboxes). krd doesn't offer any of that (no car variety, lootboxes with half the reward being useless stickers/emotes), on top of having zero speed maps both in the game and in the ranked queue. there is no reason to login I also don't like mechanics in krd as it's dumbed down with no drift cooldown + double drift. you don't see any super long drags because the maps available and double drift exists. while this helps bad players drive better, it kinda ruins the fun. it reminds me of comparing csgo and valorant. it's just different. the barrier to entry is dropped so you can be an effective player while still being mechanically garbage. It can be interesting at the highest level with new elements to consider, but 99.9% of players are nowhere near that level to make it a fun experience personally. krd's graphics are also a major turn off.

hello! actually, I'm not surprised by the news... They managed to make the game casual and not even retain it's original fanbase. Personally, I do not find KartRider: Drift fun or competitive. Many features the previous KartRider games had were never implemented and they didn't listen to any player feedback. I also found it very strange they decided to release on mobile, considering that KartRider Rush+ already exists and has been very successful. I can only hope that keeping the game to only PC in Korea and Taiwan can help speed up the development efforts...

yes, the kart I use in the first 3 runs are from a previous generation. V1 karts are much faster. You can obtain many permanent cars through events which give lootboxes. I’ve bought accounts for less than $5 with many legendary X-gen karts.

Pros even struggle with pro license in og, its too hard 😇

I hope you decide to try it out for yourself! I made a how to play guide on my discord server. TLDR KRD - casual game, no punish for poor mechanics due to no drift cooldown. as a result, game doesn't flow well and good players can abuse this. I like to describe it as a free-form KartRider. Not many maps use long drags for optimal route, making game look and feel boring to me. (partially due to slow speed) Double drift on every u-turn PopKart - crashes are very punishing, drift cooldown requires precise timing, more emphasis on controlling drift angle and long drags which is what I like
