    my question is, IS conduction band a state of electron once it gains energy.... like now there are many electrons with higher state of energy collectively called conduction band?.....because its confusing to visualize it from valence shell to a band than a conduction band also since their is mixing of electrons from valence shell collectively calling it valence band once they cover that band gap now the same valence band situation is termed as conduction band....?
