What does the Bible say about homosexuality?
What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Nothing - at least, nothing directly. Find out why by watching the video.
I explain why what we think might be the 'plain meaning of scripture' can mislead us when looking at ancient understandings of sexuality, and what that means when using scripture to talk about the Bible and homosexuality or same-sex attraction.

What does the Bible say about transgender people?

What does the Bible say about transgender people? What are the three building blocks that those opposed base their arguments upon? And why are these really poor arguments? The video tackles three common arguments used by people against transgender Christians. These are that God made two distinct biological sexes; that God does not make mistakes; and that gender confusion is bad. I show why each...

Condemned or not? St Paul, Romans and homosexuality

Does St Paul condemn all homosexuality, both those who are lesbian and those who are gay, in Romans 1? These are probably the most important verses in the entire Bible for this issue. But I think non-affirming interpretations are wrong. This video explains why. For those looking to understand more about homosexuality in the Bible, Romans 1:26-27 are key verses. Does Leviticus mean homosexuality is an abomination
มุมมอง 35K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This video explains why Christians should not consider homosexuality an abomination because of Leviticus. The video first explains the context in which Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 were written: male temple prostitutes for pagan goddesses and pederasty. What has Sodom got to do with homosexuality?

Malachi 3:6: "I am the LORD; I change not" Numbers 23:19: "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind" First Samuel 15:29: "He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind" Psalm 102:27: "But You are the same, And Your years will have no end" Psalm 119:89: "Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven"

But we do change, and so God's message to us is appropriate to our own time and culture, and is different at different points. So I see absolutely no contradiction between saying that God never changes, and that Paul was addressing a particular phenomenon in his culture which is different from our culture. Hope this helps.

"He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?" - Matthew 19:4-5 There is not a single verse in the entire Bible that ever even entertains the possibility of a Man having a "Husband". Marriage is defined between a man and women and any form of sex, whether man with man, man with women, or women with women, outside of marriage, is automatically sexual immorality. So even if there wasnt a single verse mentioning anything about homosexuality, it's still a sin. You've really got to twist scripture hard to justify this sin. Even the Catholics don't go this far.

Friends I want to tell you today that the TRUE Gospel is one of good news! And the news is that Jesus, The Messiah came into our world, died a criminals death, suffered in hell for three days and rose again where He now sits at the right hand of the Father He did this to save the world from their sins, not to condemn it, as it says in John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" Jesus is not angry at you and He does not hate you. He did not come for you to just follow a lifeless religion but came so He can have in intimate personal relationship with you! Jesus said He will never turn away those who come to Him as it says in John 6:37 "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away". All you have to do is repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives] and put your trust in what Jesus did on the cross, openly confess Him as your Lord and Savior and give your life to Him and you WILL be saved! Romans 10:9 " If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" My friends, neither Pantheism, Panentheism or Universalism will save you, for in John 14:6 "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." And again, Acts 4:12 tells us "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” The 66 books of the Bible are the written Word of God. The Bible is divinely inspired and inerrant throughout. Its assertions are factually true in all the original autographs. It is the supreme authority in everything it teaches. Its authority is not limited to spiritual, religious, or redemptive themes but includes its assertions in such fields as history and science. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" 2 Timothy 3:16 Please do not let progressive christians decieve you. I love You and Jesus loves you!

    • @MusicalRaichu
      @MusicalRaichu 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

The 66 or more (depending on the denomination) books of the Bible are documents created by human beings seeking to work out what it means to be people of god. They may be divinely inspired in some sense, but they are certainly not inerrant by any stretch of the imagination, most especially in history and science. While scripture is "useful for training in righteousness", it should not be followed blindly and uncritically, as Jesus himself taught. I assure you that you yourself do not follow everything in the Bible. How is this relevant when even taken at face value, the Bible says nothing whatsoever against committed loving gay relationships?

The bible *DOES NOT CONDEMN LOANING MONEY!!* It condemns *USURY which is EXORBIANT INTEREST.* Usury is lending money at EXORBIANT interest rates. Homosexuality is CLEARLY CONDEMNED, you cannot misinterpret those verses as anything else.

    • @BibleandHomosexuality

Until some time after Calvin, the Church had uniformally condemned ALL money-lending at interest, and did it on the basis of the Bible. Defining 'usury' as exorbitant interest came as a result of people like Calvin deciding that the Bible was talking about something different from non-oppressive forms of loans. Exactly the same dynamic as we are talking about with the Bible and homosexuality.

Well, for a start if it was actually talking about what we are talking about today - faithful, monogamous, same-sex relationships between people who by nature are gay. But it doesn't talk about this, anywhere. So I go to the principles that come from the Bible: is it loving or not? I hope you never eaten shellfish or you'll burn in everlasting flames. How can you take leviticus/ seriously? But christians love to quote leviticus to attack homosexuals. A fool's faith is dangerous. The fool will always misuse his faith out of his foolishness. Leviticus : when a man lie with a man as with a woman......i shall lie with whomever I please. @@zacharyrivas8074okay , there we go my sweet. The bible condones rape, incest, polygamy, slavery, murder, racism, stoning, trafficking in women, female circumcision, abortion, and even genocide. No book of antiquity incites so much discrimination, contempt and murder as the bible. Jahweh (Lord Jehovah) accounted for millions of deaths in the bible, shows himself as a ruthless serial killer and psychopath that Hitler and Stalin must have learned a lot. There are no words other than Jesus and God that have been so horribly misused for 2000 years for manipulating and abusing people. That this leads to slavery, oppression, discrimination, display of power, murder and genocide should not suprise anyone. Because the exuse is based on the metaphysical text of the bible, and that seems to justify everything. It's in fact a great deception.

Hello babe, rape is a sex crime. Homosexuality is not a crime. 99,9% of all sex crimes are committed by straight men. Sex crimes as trafficking in woman, female circumcision, abortion (legal but forbidden by all religions) rape, incest, sexual harassment, sexual assault, heterosexual phedofily, murdering of homosexuals in islamic countries. Violence, discrimination and contempt against homosexuals in all countries. Straight men don"t mind all these sex crimes as much as a gay pride parade. Their neurotic and bigoted religious beliefs are more important to them than people. Do straight men use their sexuality as god intended? What a joke. Straight men should be more concerned about their own sexual behavior and leave homosexuals alone. @@JohnMackay-kn3rl
