I have found myself exploring and attempting to master the critical role of momentum in conquering the most challenging technical hills (within my limited talent). In this video I work on maintaining speed, balance, and control while navigating treacherous terrain. This blend of throttle control and body positioning made all the difference in overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles (for me).

Sort of. After extensive modding, the YZ ALMOST feels as capable as a Euro bike on the hard tracks. Sounds like you need to slap some new rings on that piston champ. She doesn't sound very tight or crisp..........always been my way of telling I needed to do them. Plus, you're taking a big risk riding that snotty glasshouse shit solo. If you get a serious injury you're in a pickle.......a bloke died up there about 5 years ago. Ran out of water and got hurt/lost and it was game over.
Mate you couldn't be more right - I never ride solo this was an exception. And my bike is currently in pieces getting a new top end. Plus my reed valve was binned.
@@hardlyenduro I used to ride solo up there all the time. I love that place, but two kids later I can't really do that shit anymore. Hope to get up there soon, some amazing tracks. Make sure you use a super thin base gasket on reassembly..........you'll thank me for it. More power and bottom end

I'm guessing by the terrain you're in Australia. It looks like some fun terrain. Sounds like you could benefit from a gearing change so you don't have to ride the clutch so much.

Seen anything about the HITLIS powervalve kit? Makes it more like an ePV. It's POV climbs look and sound like it makes a YZ250 a much easier climber and trail weapon.

Yz is king... Ive got a 21' yz250x, only mod id recommend is put a 13oz stealthy flywheel weight on it. Makes it so much more of a usable bike
I currently have the GYTR Weight, I wonder if it would be a huge difference between the two. Ideally I will install a WR 426 Gearbox soon.
@@hardlyenduro GYTR weight is about 9oz i think. so it'd be close but the 13oz adds so much bottom end torque it feels like a 300 hah. either way the extra spinning mass helps them so much in the slower stuff
