    I have 2 Bad boy rogues and the front ends have fallen off of both of them, Badboy would not warranty them once they're out of the 2 year factory warranty, there is no lifetime frame warranty i was told by my dealer. My self and a buddy had to weld the whole front end back on with lots of reinforcement. The problem is the front end that is welded on to the frame tubing which is only about an eighth inch thick, not like the rest of the front deck, casters, support bars, ect. that you can see where it's a quarter inch thick. The frame should be the strongest piece of the whole mower so it makes no sense why they did this, I know several other people with the same problem.

    I just bought a Badboy Rogue w/72 inch cut,EFI Kawasaki motor. I’ve heard issues of very loud muffler exhaust. Is there an after market pipe boot to extend through the hole and 45* angle out on both side? Would a blue color thread lock work for the rear wheel hub issues? What is the real purpose of the mower discharge flapper?

    • @nelssenhamren2273
      @nelssenhamren2273 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Regarding your question about the loud exhaust. Let's just say I've had louder! The pipe tips are 1"1/2 flange OD. And they do make multiple versions that will slip over that. Loctite would be a great for keeping the factory nuts that are on it. But just buy a set of lock nuts with a nylon embedded in them. And that'll work just fine for you. The purpose of the cute blocker that is being able to control it gives you the ability to drive anywhere around your property without worrying about the side discharge blowing all over everything. If you do a lot of landscaping for customers it's definitely a necessity.

    Same exact mower year and all. Even got the back rack on it. The only issue so far at 150.3 hr mark - the belt tensioner 5/8” grade 8 bolt for the spring tensioner/idler pulley for the drive pumps sheared off at the engine plate - flush with the under side of the engine mounting plate. Not a hard fix but it of course broke at the end of my lane along side of my 40 acre field which is a half mile deep. Had to load up my truck and drag the floor jack out there and some 2x12’s to place the jack on and of course it was 90 degrees out with 90% humidity…. Yeah pure joy!

      Two things you can do about that rear plate. One of the easiest way to do it is to go to your dealer. Two you can go online find the part number order it yourself. The plate is basically there just for extra protection for the big Kohler command engine. As far as your question about the oil coolers being full. The system will prime itself and stay full. as far as air pockets go. When I first started the system it had no problem bleeding all the air out. You can open up the reserve caps and see all the air bubbling through the system. It didn't take but a couple minutes. I had to add fluid three times before everything settled.

      Through the years I've realized the older Briggs & strats were definitely not thought of as a quality build. Due to the fact that they were on smaller applications. Constantly fixing them, constantly seeing them overheat and blow gaskets. The newer vanguard Briggs & strat engines are definitely a finer build quality. When you get in the neighborhood of 30hp plus. They seem to step up their game. I was considering a 37 horse vanguard before purchasing this mower. But I'm a Kawasaki fan. I love the torque out of these big block Kawasakis.

    Nice work. I "only" have the 60" Maverick and 2.5 acres to deal with. By the time the engine warms up, I'm about finished and sad my time on it is over for another week or month, depending on drought conditions. I bought it a little over a month ago, and I think I need to adjust the transmission rods to sync the speed. Going from a Husqvarna 48" tractor to this thing has been night and day. Speaking of, I may add lights before the sun starts going down earlier.

      Like any lawn care. You're equipment it is based off how you use it on certain properties and what you need for the job. If you are a good operator you do not scalp anything. The properties I use a 72" on are basically wide open. And my personal opinion the 72" cuts better than a 61"

    • @kentucky4696
      @kentucky4696 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also thought about that. My opinion on that is unless u get a rouge with a 61” The rouge’s wheel base vs deck size having a much wider wheel base a rouge 72” is no difference between most of ur 60” mowers like my mavericks wheel base vs deck size on how far the deck sticks out from the wheels…I have a extremely rough lawn of over 6 acres an I’m yet to scalp my yard with it. The suspension an floating deck systems on the bigger bad boys are untouched…and I’m not trying to be a fan boy saying that lol…I considered all mowers an I’m about to upgrade to the rouge because the awesome experience I’ve gotten out of my maverick and price for what you get with bad boy is almost unheard of in the world of zero turn mowers.. for instance I looked at spartan, scag and hustler an I couldn’t get anything close too what you get on the rouge under 15k.

      The rule of thumb with owning a Carburetor engine. When you shut it off on a hot situation after using it for a while it will accumulate vapour lock. As for the Back firing that is a normal problem if you don't throttle down when the engine tries to kick back on. There's just so much fuel in there has to go somewhere.
