How to cooking video’s, from scratch cooking, traditional Italian
Taco Dip Recipe
Recipe:
Taco seasoning - (need x2 or 2 packets of taco seasoning)
1 tbs chili powder
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Taco meat -
1 lb ground beef
1 batch taco seasoning or 1 packet store bought
1 tbs tomato paste
3 tbs water
Dip base-
1 lb sour cream
1 lb cream cheese (room temperature)
1 batch taco seasoning or 1 packet store bought)
Toppings-
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup jalapeños
Heat a pan to medium and brown the ground beef while breaking the meat up. Once cooked strain the fat off then put back into the pan with the seasoning, paste, and water. Continue to cook 5 minutes on medium low. Cool meat down in refrigerator.
While meat is cooling in a blender with paddle attachment blend the sour cream, cream cheese, and seasoning until smooth. Pour into a 9x13 in pan and spread evenly. Top with the cooked meat then add the rest of the toppings!

Yup you could mix it as much as you can with a spoon and then need it like a pasta dough.

I been looking for this recipe my mom used to make them along with my grandmother.My grandmother made them over her stove with a pizzle iron.I never got the recipe from them before they passed away. Looking forward to making them .

Nice one again, Rocco! My Dutch oven is halfway yours I think....😂 Soup it is today here as well. I found some homemade chickenstock in my freezer, cabage, onions, garlic, potatoe, chorizo in cubes, smoked paprika powder, cumin, salt and pepper! Ciabatta with onions and cheese from the oven to munch with it. 👍

Yeah this was boxed stock I ran out of my homemade in the freezer and have to “stock” back up 😅

Wondering about using a Teflon coated pan, I recall that some can give off poisonous fumes if heated up too high. The fumes can harm indoor pets. I don't know if that might be true with the newer pans?
Thanks. Great recipe! One thought, perhaps start the shallot for a few minutes, then add the garlic(?). Also, rather than toss the little knob, save it for a Seafood Stock.
I normally use fresh bread, as in my view, it tastes better. However, if I must use dry bread crumbs, I would toast them first. As for water, I only use about 2 inches, with 3 potatoes cut in half and placed at the bottom of the pot, and throw in the lemon halfs as well. I simmer for 45 minutes, drain the water and place the potatoes in the container with the artichokes, garnish with chopped parsley, and a good drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. (Maltese version)
