This is the fifth and final part of my North to South Across Algonquin Adventure Series in which over 9 days I canoe 176 km's with 43 km's of portage, solo, north to south across Algonquin Park, from Kiosk Access point to Kennaway at the most southern tip of Algonquin Park.
Day 7 has me starting out from Pen lake and traveling to Hay Creek over a distance of 19.6, including over 8 kilometers of single carry portage. Day 8 consisted of 14.6 kilometers of travel of which 5.2 kilometers were single carry portage. I was plagued by rain for most of the day and ended up camping on a 30 meter portage between Billings and Little Billings Lakes. The morning of Day 9 I was treated to a visit by a cow moose while I was packing up camp. On my final day I travelled 18.6 kilometers of which 3.5 kilometers of single carry portage, ending my trip at the Pine Grove Access Point, at the southern tip of Algonquin Park.
