Today we cover how to form an Architecture Board and EA Governance. I also talk about why EA cannot be done bottom up and absolutely requires Executive approval. But most importantly I talk about how to setup the governance. This is at a very high level and requires a deeper study and every organization has its own organic path to maturity. wish I had seen this video few days back :|
Many companies follow the hype and not understand the need or they change the managers or even teams, layoff to go to latest tech and boom business dont do well, and there will be many iteration till you move to differnt tech and later find it was all waste and lot of money burn. Companies should understand and focus on business needs and take appropriate actions, many moved from cloud to on prem, micro to monolith...
Hi. Thank you for sharing. First I would love to see a few of your road maps, to compare against others creations and the way I create them
Excellent explanation: Temped to go on adventure :D Finally with your video I got to know what needs to be done. Your flow of content delivery is amazing, keep it up. Liked and Subscribed without you even asking :)
Well presented...very approachable and understandable presentation of this particular aspect of TOGAF. I often find teams don't discuss the relationship between the components of the content framework.
How do you join the Architecture telegram group?
😂 we all in the same boat and these questions raising even in our dreams. Great advice
Dear Niloptal Das, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to express my admiration for your work. Your videos and podcasts have been incredibly insightful, particularly in simplifying complex terminology with practical examples. As I prepare for my TOGAF certification to pursue a role as an Enterprise Architect, I have found your content immensely helpful. If possible, I would greatly appreciate more videos covering all the Artifacts, including basic real-world diagrams and examples. Additionally, a video on the most widely used EA Tool, featuring a practical use case, would be extremely beneficial. Lastly, if you could share your top five picks among the accredited training providers, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your valuable contributions.
One place that you should NOT go to for training is Simplilearn. Instructor is awful. They take away material from you after some time and they want you to pay again.
Great explanation, thank you
Thanks. Really useful for me. Sir you are using simple language to understand the complex relation TOGAF conception
That is very useful, Thank you
Sir, This his really great content. I hope you can take some mock-company or real-life problem and then highlight these aspects.
💯💯💯
Thanks for sharing!

Wishing you all the very best sir for your well deserved break! 🫡 will wait for you to come back refreshed and rejuvenated 👍 Take care!
Thanks a ton!
Awesome way of presenting these intricate concepts in such a clear and simple way!!! Excellent clarity of thought, knowledge and simplicity with such humility 🙏🙏🙏Thank you sir for sharing it! Respects from California! Namaste ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
❤
very insightful and simple explaination.
Glad you liked it
Great narration sir. I loved it.
Fantastic ❤
Have to ask, is this certification is only for devs?
No it is for everyone
Wow heaps off reading
Congratulations on the excellent introduction to enterprise architecture and roadmap. I'm an architecture student and I still have difficulty understanding what I should deliver when I'm creating the Baseline and Target, should we create it directly in TOGAF or in this mapping should we use direct text even explaining it with some type of matrix. If possible, your answer will help me a lot. Thanks
Let me see what I can do
Great explanation overall.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing. With respect to "one person" knowing BDAT, it depends on the level of depth of knowledge. Growing organisations may make do with one EA based on the level on depth of knowledge required at that level. As the organisation grows then you need a team and you begin to go deeper in each of the domains. You may not start practicing all domains deeply. I also think a business analysts is more project focused than a business architect. A business architect conceptualise the business at a strategic level ideally.
Sir, I really appreciate your content. I think you have found the intersection of business and philosophy.
Very Good! Simple and easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing video, it just open too many closed concepts in my mind...
Glad to hear it!

These are the lessons I wanted to start with on my journey towards digitizing our company. For some reason I've been studying in reverse! Thanks for the great insight!
Glad it was helpful!
I think we are going to be in some weird middle place, where some things are utopian, but then you turn around and you can't even eat certain veggies because they have been modified so much, etc.
I agree. In the real world nothing ever is extreme.
At last, someone rational on the internet. Well done, sir.
Thank you.
Very Informative! Great work done 👍
Thank you! 👍
Very Articulate and useful, thanks for putting it together and please keep posting more.
See you soon !
Very well explained, thank you!
Just fabulous ❤
You made Architectecture Content Framework so easy to understand. Thank you so much.

Interesting discussion
Thankyou🥹

I agree with you
I think it's still very far away from writing production grade code... Giving Devin the ability to train a model I suppose is against ethical/responsible ai...
I am not sure about the ethical aspects of it. We can take a stab at it. I think AI is in its infancy and so are we when it comes to understanding the ethical and moral aspects of AI. And that's why it becomes very important to talk and to listen to diverse views on the subject.
Not surprised by this report from BizzDesign. Often times the C-suite are shielded from direct EA interactions and end up with little to no interaction. If there is interaction with the C-suite it’s from the EA leadership team itself (not the domain EAs) and that is only from a management perspective where they are mainly just trying to keep EA relevant, afloat and treading to support the business. Unfortunately the perception at many large and older orgs is that EAs are a support function, a governance process, or a means to an end to get to a solution, but generally don’t have a seat at the table to help the business make key decisions especially at highly political companies where business really wants to say they were the key decision makers. Getting EA visibility to C-Level suite in terms of influence is very hard if EA was not there in the beginning or EA leadership has a poor relationship the C-Suite. Successful EA orgs that I have seen will have vocal CIO backing. Otherwise EA is can be viewed as red tape, a tax, or an internal IT governance cop.
And that's why it becomes important for EA practitioners to rise in their ranks. Not be stuck witht he technical aspects of EA. Believe in it and still learn and play the game. So that one day they are able to make the right decision. Give EA the necessary teeth it deserves. I almost feel like saying, "I have a dream..." :-)
Wish that it was easier done than said but at many orgs there are a lot of politics. If you don’t have leadership within your org trying to make this happen as well it is a struggle and you mainly will be hopping project to project and not really have a seat at the table. Don’t want to be negative about it, but more of a realist as I have seen many senior EAs also struggle with this.
So with Part 3 still not clear on EA tools .So far I understand that EA is not CMDB but it can integrate with CMDB tool like HP uCMDB ?? please name some EA tool names so I can explore further
iServer by Orbus Software, Troux, Mega
Still Not Clear with EA Tool unless it is Architect Repository is used as Configuration Management Tool
So TOGAF ,Zachman Frameworks are tools ?
No. Tools like iServer implement the Zachman Framework. Like Jira implements Agile. Agile is not a tool. It is a framework / methodology. Tools implement these.
Pls create video on your trip as well After listening to your videos EA becoming more pragmatic
