    Many companies follow the hype and not understand the need or they change the managers or even teams, layoff to go to latest tech and boom business dont do well, and there will be many iteration till you move to differnt tech and later find it was all waste and lot of money burn. Companies should understand and focus on business needs and take appropriate actions, many moved from cloud to on prem, micro to monolith...

    Dear Niloptal Das, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to express my admiration for your work. Your videos and podcasts have been incredibly insightful, particularly in simplifying complex terminology with practical examples. As I prepare for my TOGAF certification to pursue a role as an Enterprise Architect, I have found your content immensely helpful. If possible, I would greatly appreciate more videos covering all the Artifacts, including basic real-world diagrams and examples. Additionally, a video on the most widely used EA Tool, featuring a practical use case, would be extremely beneficial. Lastly, if you could share your top five picks among the accredited training providers, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your valuable contributions.

    Congratulations on the excellent introduction to enterprise architecture and roadmap. I'm an architecture student and I still have difficulty understanding what I should deliver when I'm creating the Baseline and Target, should we create it directly in TOGAF or in this mapping should we use direct text even explaining it with some type of matrix. If possible, your answer will help me a lot. Thanks

    Thank you for sharing. With respect to "one person" knowing BDAT, it depends on the level of depth of knowledge. Growing organisations may make do with one EA based on the level on depth of knowledge required at that level. As the organisation grows then you need a team and you begin to go deeper in each of the domains. You may not start practicing all domains deeply. I also think a business analysts is more project focused than a business architect. A business architect conceptualise the business at a strategic level ideally.

      I am not sure about the ethical aspects of it. We can take a stab at it. I think AI is in its infancy and so are we when it comes to understanding the ethical and moral aspects of AI. And that's why it becomes very important to talk and to listen to diverse views on the subject.

  • @JohnTube2K
    @JohnTube2K 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Not surprised by this report from BizzDesign. Often times the C-suite are shielded from direct EA interactions and end up with little to no interaction. If there is interaction with the C-suite it’s from the EA leadership team itself (not the domain EAs) and that is only from a management perspective where they are mainly just trying to keep EA relevant, afloat and treading to support the business. Unfortunately the perception at many large and older orgs is that EAs are a support function, a governance process, or a means to an end to get to a solution, but generally don’t have a seat at the table to help the business make key decisions especially at highly political companies where business really wants to say they were the key decision makers. Getting EA visibility to C-Level suite in terms of influence is very hard if EA was not there in the beginning or EA leadership has a poor relationship the C-Suite. Successful EA orgs that I have seen will have vocal CIO backing. Otherwise EA is can be viewed as red tape, a tax, or an internal IT governance cop.

    • @enterprisearchitectureradio
      @enterprisearchitectureradio 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And that's why it becomes important for EA practitioners to rise in their ranks. Not be stuck witht he technical aspects of EA. Believe in it and still learn and play the game. So that one day they are able to make the right decision. Give EA the necessary teeth it deserves. I almost feel like saying, "I have a dream..." :-)

    • @JohnTube2K
      @JohnTube2K 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wish that it was easier done than said but at many orgs there are a lot of politics. If you don’t have leadership within your org trying to make this happen as well it is a struggle and you mainly will be hopping project to project and not really have a seat at the table. Don’t want to be negative about it, but more of a realist as I have seen many senior EAs also struggle with this.

      No. Tools like iServer implement the Zachman Framework. Like Jira implements Agile. Agile is not a tool. It is a framework / methodology. Tools implement these.
