How to install slid bolts for you calipers
Steps to Install Slide Bolts on Brake Calipers:
1. Lift and Secure the Vehicle:
• Use a jack to lift the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
• Remove the wheel to gain access to the brake caliper.
2. Remove the Brake Caliper:
• Locate the slide bolts, which hold the brake caliper in place. They’re typically located on the rear of the caliper.
• Use the appropriate wrench or socket to remove the slide bolts. Depending on the car, you may need to hold the slide pin in place with another wrench while removing the bolt.
• Once the bolts are removed, carefully slide the caliper off the brake rotor and set it aside (support it with a bungee cord or wire so it doesn’t hang by the brake hose).
3. Inspect the Slide Bolts and Caliper:
• Examine the condition of the slide bolts. If they’re corroded or damaged, replace them.
• Also, inspect the rubber bushings or boots that surround the slide bolts. Replace these if they’re worn or damaged to ensure the slide bolts move smoothly.
4. Clean the Slide Bolts and Caliper:
• Clean the caliper bracket and the slide bolt holes using a wire brush or brake cleaner to remove old grease, debris, or rust.
• Wipe the slide bolts clean with a rag or paper towel.
5. Grease the Slide Bolts:
• Apply a thin, even layer of high-temperature brake grease or caliper grease to the slide bolts. This will help them move freely and prevent corrosion.
6. Reinstall the Slide Bolts:
• Insert the greased slide bolts back into their respective holes in the caliper bracket.
• Reinstall the brake caliper over the brake rotor and line up the caliper holes with the holes on the caliper bracket.
• Thread the slide bolts back into place by hand to avoid cross-threading.
• Tighten the slide bolts using the appropriate wrench or socket. Be sure to follow the vehicle’s specified torque settings using a torque wrench (usually specified in the vehicle’s repair manual).
7. Reinstall the Wheel:
• After ensuring the caliper is properly installed and secured, reinstall the wheel.
• Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the vehicle, and then torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s recommended specifications.
8. Test the Brakes:
• Pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure the caliper is seated correctly and that the brake pedal feels firm.
• Test the brakes at low speeds to ensure everything is functioning properly.
Tips:
• Always replace the slide bolt boots if they are cracked or worn to prevent dirt and moisture from entering.
• Use only brake-specific grease to lubricate the slide bolts.
• Never over-tighten the slide bolts, as this could strip the threads or damage the caliper bracket.
If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, consider consulting a mechanic to ensure the brakes are installed safely.

What happens if you accidentally put connection wires in wrong place on fuse block? Will it cause overheating?
Still to this day this is the only and best way to properly take out the MUSB.
I recently replaced my spark plugs. I used the recommended spark plugs by most legacy owners NGK (7913) SILFR6A laser iridium’s and. Its pre-gapped .32 and its still misfiring. Does anyone know the correct gap? 2006 subaru legacy gt automatic

Thank you for a very clear and straightforward walkthrough! Mine is displaying the typical ‘hard to start after fill-up’ so I know the pump is going. ‘05 and original pump, so I’m sure it’s due. My first car was a ‘73 Vega GT. In-tank pump. I got to change my first pump ever on the side of the road in 1980 in Dripping Springs, TX in the middle of August 😂 wasn’t gonna pay $60 for a tow back to Austin! This looks like a breeze compared to that. Thanks again for a very good guide

Had Firestone replace an alternator. Left the shop with all kinds of problems. No gas gauge, no RPM or speedometer, no windshield wipes, no turn signals and thats only half of the problems. Firestone said they did nothing wrong. There is a recall for my ignition switch. Do you think its worth having it replaced? Replaced computer and FCM. Didnt help. Jeep starts runs and AC works but hazard lights stay on all the time even when the engine is shut down. Have to disconnect the negative before they go off. Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks

Spray those plastic fuel line connectors with penetration oil and let it soak a few makes it easier to get off and on especially on those o rings can get messed up if there not lubed. Cool video!!! Thank you my son has a 08 trying to find out why it dies randomly when its started and put into gear may be the pump but love it when i dont have to make my own accses panel lol

My 2004 Outback looks the same and no usb/bluetooth and in Australia I haven't been able to find any facia to delete the CD player and to have a Bluetooth setup. I currently have a Boom 3 external speaker and would love an in dash entertainment unit to access Spotify using bluetooth.

No sorry about that. I have been given a lot of flak on this for that reason. That was the time I was able to install it, the cars alarm kept going off and when the part came in I took the time at night so the door was not open another day. Sorry I really did try to get a good video and angles to see what I was doing.

It’s the main fuse for the car. Don’t think it’s just for the alternator

i wonder if it's safe to cut off those 2 black arches going above the white block. i just need to take a look inside, but the transparent plastic cover for the white block is yellowed and i can't see inside very well. those arches are blocking the cover f rom opening
