Is a pity a life was lost that way, just a map would have saved him, he did not want to die. After he died I am with the people who loved him, he obviously was a lovable guy
This chapter made me cry
Now you got me wondering what I’m boutta read
I'm very critical of Christopher as I think he was subconsciously a coward at worst or at best a little boy who never grew up !!! Why do I say this ? He had everything as a young man, a education, a good family, money, a future. He lacked for nothing. But he throws it all away by running away from life and dressing it up as a great adventure !!!! In short killed himself. He was failed by himself as he had ever advantage in life and yet he died homeless and destitute. Unable to hold down a job. In my opinion he was a bum and deserves no respect......
Yes, he had all of those things. But those are obviously not the things he needed. The things you cite are not what he sought in life. You don’t get to decide what is right or what each person needs. Your entire comment is ignorant and speaks to your insecurities. Good luck in life, friend.
These are my favorite parts in audiobooks 😂 23:54
THANK YOU

This ain’t the same as mine
It's a very sad story of, imo, stubbornness vs greatness. When he was pushed to study he was shown to have a great mind learning from others came so easy to him. However, when it came to the wilderness, he wanted to do it on his own without the knowledge that most people in the wilderness move forward with.. If he had only been open to learn from those who have lived are were living such a life, what a great contribution Chris could have made to mankind. He could have been brilliant in helping the enviornment as well as also been able to live off the land and on his own, he could have had it all had he just not been so stubborn. RIP
Ik this man ends up dead in a bus but, I am really jealous of the way he was living up until his Alaska trip.
Thank you so much for doing this!!! I struggle with reading for school, so this is a great resorce. Also sidenote, are you perhaps related to anyone by the name of James Richard Regan? He's my grandfather, and i know that Regan isnt the most common last name
I don't know if I am related to you :). My father is Richard, though. Also, I have an Uncle James, and I believe my great grandfather's name was James too :). Thanks for the kind words!
