The Ethical Boundaries Regarding Sexual Activities In Islam! | Daily Islamic Reminder | Mufti Menk
Topic: The Ethical Boundaries Regarding Sexual Activities In Islam!
Speaker: Mufti Ismail Menk.
Description: In this insightful and thought-provoking video, Mufti Ismail Menk, a renowned Islamic scholar, addresses the important and often sensitive topic of sexual ethics in Islam.
Mufti Menk provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles and guidelines laid out by Islamic teachings regarding sexual behavior and relationships.
Islam, as a complete way of life, sets clear boundaries and guidelines that govern all aspects of human behavior, including the intimate and private sphere of sexual activities.
In this video, Mufti Menk emphasizes the importance of adhering to Islamic principles while navigating relationships and sexual interactions, ensuring that these activities are approached in a manner that is both ethical and respectful.
Key Topics Covered in this Video:
Islamic Views on Sexuality: Mufti Menk begins by explaining how Islam views human sexuality as a natural and essential part of life, intended for the creation of healthy relationships, the fulfillment of human needs, and the establishment of strong family bonds.
However, he highlights the significance of maintaining respect and modesty, both for oneself and for others.
The Concept of Halal and Haram in Sexuality: One of the central themes of this lecture is the differentiation between what is allowed (halal) and what is prohibited (haram) in Islam when it comes to sexual activities.
Mufti Menk explores the limits set by Shariah and why certain sexual behaviors, such as adultery, fornication, and engaging in intimate relations outside of marriage, are strictly forbidden.
Marriage as the Foundation of Sexuality: A key aspect of Mufti Menk's discussion revolves around the role of marriage in Islam.
He emphasizes that the lawful context for sexual intimacy is within the confines of a marital relationship between a husband and wife.
The mutual rights and responsibilities of both partners are explored, highlighting the importance of love, respect, and understanding in the marital relationship.
Modesty, Privacy, and Consent: Mufti Menk addresses the concept of modesty (haya) in Islam, emphasizing that both men and women are encouraged to maintain dignity, respect, and privacy in their interactions. Consent and mutual agreement between spouses are crucial elements in ensuring that any sexual activity is ethical and respectful, and he explains how Islam encourages the protection of both physical and emotional well-being.
Islamic Guidelines on Sexual Practices: The video delves into specific practices that are permissible and impermissible in Islam when it comes to sexual activities, addressing questions about intimacy within marriage, and how spouses should interact with each other in ways that respect the dignity of both partners.
The Importance of Repentance and Forgiveness: Lastly, Mufti Menk provides guidance on the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah if a person has transgressed the boundaries set by Islam.
He encourages Muslims to turn to Allah in repentance, assuring them that sincere repentance is always accepted, and that Allah’s mercy and forgiveness are vast.
Throughout the video, Mufti Menk speaks with clarity, wisdom, and compassion, providing answers to difficult questions while maintaining the integrity of Islamic teachings.

*no
Sorry. Iam really sorry some parts are not realistic. A woman should never say no to his husband, when he invites her to bed. Please think real, there could be 1000 reasons why she wants to say now. And this is her right. Never say no, is Nonsens. Always say no, that is a fault.
that's right.. when a women always refuse intimacy with husband.. that's not fair. but we underestimate the way he does with her. When the husband is not nice, gentle, and brutal and rude. of course women refuse this obligation..
his rights. sounds like the old argument " if she doesn't want sex why did she get married?' civil law has advanced ahead of islamic law
*Alhamdulillah* *Astaghfirullah*
My husband hasn’t fulfilled my rights for 10 years and decided to get married again
Is this all mufti menk can talk about . Talk about the evils of capitalism moneymaking and how it had affected the Muslim Arab countries. How the west is ,,," playing with Muslim oil rich countries.
I dont understand from 11:30 can someone explain. What can not be doing?
It is haram to have an*l s*x
It is haram to have an*l s*x
Masha Allah.
Sheik Mufti Menk, "They call it "foreplay and romance.'" So funny, he is learning some new words in 2024. You gotta love these brothers. MashAllah
You said something very right: the man wants her wife to be like a prostituite. I am divorcing after 10 yrs because of this. My husband is porn addicted and cheated me. I am swiss my husband muslim. I reverted to Islam but my husband is not a man. Great words
Disappointed mufti menk pulled out the blame the feminist card. Islam is a feminist religion.
islam is not a feminist religion 😂 man if provider and woman is nurturer “Men are the caretakers of women, as men have been provisioned by Allah over women and tasked with supporting them financially. And righteous women are devoutly obedient and, when alone, protective of what Allah has entrusted them with.1 And if you sense ill-conduct from your women, advise them ˹first˺, ˹if they persist,˺ do not share their beds, ˹but if they still persist,˺ then discipline them ˹gently˺.2 But if they change their ways, do not be unjust to them. Surely Allah is Most High, All-Great.” (4:34) clearly defined roles. the MAN is the breadwinner, not the woman
Tbh I think a lot of scholars nowadays are mixing personal opinion they have with islam. For example when they say if your husband cheats because you did not sleep with him allah is angry with you for not sleeping with him..people cheat because they are not evil people. The wife is not the one to hold accountable for your own sins
What's the point of man marrying then wife doesn't have desires, specially after the kids arrive. Religion can't work pressurising the woman, it's pointless. Better to not marry. Truthfully woman who complain about sex shouldn't marry in the first place.
It’s sad these sheikhs made it only women issue. There are so many men depriving their wives of this right and choosing filthy content and self gratification over their halal wives for months and months and the wives are sucking it up and living with it. I didn’t hear any sheikh addressing this.
They have said it so beautifully A woman has the right to say no if she actually has a legitimate reason but not simply because she's angry and wants to punish her husband
Jazakallah khayra for this topic
What is the ruling about a husband that don’t have sexual intimacy with the wife after some months and when he comes around he refuses to fulfill his wife’s desire simply because they had misunderstanding that was settled even b4 he came around? Using it an an excuse not to me with the wife and she has to beg the husband b4 he agrees
He is sinful. Wife must entice him and if he uses this against her then a wife may do something haram. So to avoid haram wife must tell him about his responsibility and her rights if he refuses then she can move on.
جزاك الله خيرا كثيرا ❤
Slms islamic men even being fulfilled still looks at other women and other women smile or even say hi just beacuse of the looking, my question why being an islamic perosn cant work towards bettering the halaal relation but too quck to jump into excitement of the haraam😢 maaf
Man and their bloody needs us women ain't dolls And what should a woman do if her husband doesn't want sleep with his wife 🤔 is she going do the same
I am so proud of you 3 hero religious big brothers, really 👏 you nailed it MashaAllah and very much addressed the elephant in the room. Allah bless you all 🙏
One of the biggest reason for someone to make nikaah is that they don't do zinaa
Ok
What if husband dont fulfill wife for years?
Shame sister this is sad I don't have problems with islam, but women have very less rights nd cant do much when make children nd go do haram than they want divirce to start new life left women helplessly..
I am so sorry but use words before you do research you know what they say little knowledge is dangerous in Islam it is clear that (husband has rights over her wife and wife has rights overhis husband )so don't take Islam in this matter it has given All the rights to women. If there issue in your marriage discuss it with your spouse or you both can go to the sex therapist and if the problem doesn't resolve than take desicion by your own. Now your point is right woman can't take divorce even if it is really necessary but is due to this society in which we live not the islam@@Zoya288z
It definitely shouldn't be one sided, you have your right over him too. 😅
With all due respect, do men ever consider how that feels for a woman when their husband is using them to fill their sexual needs when they’re actually desiring someone else? It’s never discussed how objectified women are in these situations.
As Salamu Alaikum ! Being a natural mate has been lying dormant in most humans for soo long, most people don't know how to be natural when it comes to intimacy with spouses !!! Again communication (talking ) to each other to hear what each other needs and want during intimacy are, then they will have a halal intimacy !!!
This is crap. People should marry because of living each other and being in each other companies and having fun together. It should not be just for sleeping and then the woman have to stay home and doesnt have a life anymore. Many woman dont get statisfied by there husband you know. It is True like they say both sides, but 9 out of 10 times the man wants to overpower woman and using the wrongs against them.
I wonder what your opinion is towards the role of a man being a provider for the wife. Should they split the finances equally? What about protection?
@Mohammed-yc6nn its not only about finances. Its mostly about time, spending time together and be there for your family and kids, having fun and laugh together. From experiences what I have seen the man mostly thinks all he has to do is work and come with money, and the wife has to do everything else. There is almost very little to none effort from a man when it comes to sitting and spending time with the family. It is almost that the wife is becoming a slave/made and that there a little rights for her coming from the husband. Many man dont understand that Its not all about money. Its quite sad actually.
Bro. Mufti literally says in the beginning marriage has other purposes (its a whole package), but the topic is specific. Like bro do you not see the title, hear the sheikhs and what they’re saying. Are you purposely missing the entire point? Are you here to push an agenda as IF ANYONE in this video is claimining marriage is JUST for sleeping? Women can be business women, women can be teachers and more, and they have been. Now I agree it seems many men do not knoq how to satisfy their woman, which is just whack from a man’s perspective, cause on paper its not hard, execution only requires one to be a man.
How does a marriage work when the groom doesn't talk to the bride
That depends of them (if they talk or not)
I suffered in a similar situation & got divorced finally Alhamdulillah All praise to the Almighty ❤
Nd what if the groom sleeps on another bed is that right
No not at all... But is this all happening with you ?
How does it work to b forced to marry 🎉
That’s a culture thing not Islam
It doesn't. Islam prohibits forced marriage.
You had done 3 comments about forced marriage. But why is it you are interested to know the answer or is it happening to you
What if the groom is forced to marry to please his dad is that right
No, in Islam
That's not Islam, that cultural beliefs. Please don't confuse Islam with cultural practices. It is NOT permissible to force anyone to get married in Islam.
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam
