At the end of the video I'd have smacked that thing into goo. Your jumping spiders want to eat you. Your image is familiar and now it has a chance to really sink it's teeth in. The affection you have for that spider is disordered. There is no pack mentality, no loyalty etc. Kind of like a snake lying down stretching itself out in bed with a person it means to eat you and it gets big enough. They lie down like that specifically to get longer so that they can handle the meal they plan on eating.

It’s funny, these spiders can I hear human voice, they can only hear pitches we can’t. All the baby talk means nothing. They are simply observing their surroundings and their brains are waaay too simple to understand compassion.

The more I watch this, the more I heal from my arachnophobia.

I’m terrified of spiders but I see them in a different light. They’re sentient beings. As for the venomous ones: NOPE!

That is sooo cool. I am a recovered arachnophobe and I am now free to be fascinated by these tiny magical geniuses. But even when I was afraid of spiders, I thought jumpers were cool. They were kind of in a class of their own in my mind. Now I admire many kinds of spiders. Argiope are my favorite, but jumpers are a close second.

I am someone who's caught rattlesnakes and scorpions with their bare hands. I am very afraid of spiders and I want to get over my fear. I think owning a jumping spider would be a great place to start overcoming that fear. Any information I can get on this hobby from you would be very much appreciated. I can research on the internet but what you read on there and practical application when owning pets are two different things. Wish all of you the best, take care of yourself!

We have a house spider around our apartment, we call him Bob, cause of minions. He just met his reflection yesterday, he got scared and raised his front legs to defend himself, them just started tapping on the microwave, line he realized it wasn't real.

Next step: train it to play fetch.

I think spiders are incredible creatures but I am slightly freaked out by them. But jumping spiders really are beautiful and should be used to cure people of arachnophobia.
