I’m sorry, it’s tragic. These are pretty good planes but they send them out with few guns and even less ammunition. No wonder the Russian pilots would often ram German bombers early in the war. If you don’t get guns and ammunition the plane is the gun/ammunition.

One of the pleasures of small channels is spamming the comments. Those MG 151/20s don’t leave holes on the other guy’s plane: they leave craters.

Requiem has pretty much given up his “how to” videos, not that I blame him for the small amount of attention they got. I would say that there is room for a really good virtual pilot to pick that up. . . (Just sayin’)

I’m gonna say the faster plane ought to be going vertical rather than turn fight. But I guess P-51 pilots are not used to losing that kind of fight.

Spent two hours trying to re-learn ground handling in the Fw-190 today. (Out of the game for two years or so.) Great plane in the air, but getting it lined up and in the air is no joke.

That bomb crutch looks like it was made out of old coat hangers and scrap bin parts. Works like a champ.

The Li-2 (and C-47) is such a sexy plane. The missions may not be action packed like a fighter or attacker, but I've enjoyed the time I've spent flying these birds.

sorry to say, but you dont have shooting discipline whatsoever. and you shoot from too far away. And not the D-9 doesnt have lots of ammo

The Yak 9 is an illegal sky terror weapon in the skies that attack civilian villages from the air. I played command and conquer red alert remastered is why.

The engines sounds are terrible, they will never improve them!

That engine is so terribly outdated, as is the flight model. It's hard to take seriously once you try DCS.

Oh yeah and the graphics are gorgeous.

Armament of Yak 9 was poor by 1943 standards. One 20 mil and one heavy MG. But some of the Niners performance was due to keeping any weight to a bare minimum, including weaponry. They were mostly wood, overweight and underpowered in the main versions. Top speed of the Yak 9 was around 370 MPH in my sources. Basically, the Yaks were more maneuverable and more lightly armed P-40's.

Yak=7 Razorback, coolest of the Yaks! And you did it all with your radiator flap wide open.

Your "lucky" strikes aren't totally lucky. Yes, luck is an element, but you have a good sense of deflection so when you send those shots off it seems to me you have made some kind of calculation of what the odds of hitting are.
