As a 43 years old Over Lietenant rifle platoon leader in the Finnish reserve. I watched 20 mins of the first episode and couldnt watch anymore. So many mistakes that it went cringe. Finland is one of the only countries in the world with compulsory service and we cannot this this show right?

Is there more explanation given for why the United States is hesitant on invoking Article-5? Haven’t watched the show besides from your reviews so I’m just curious onto why they wouldn’t?

Again thnks for these recaps! A few questions, my interests are more on the political side rather than military but anyways. 1: How realistic is it that this random US guy is just going to be allowed into the operation (not Williams as he's clearly a dual national)? 2: Would the accuracy of the bombing be that good what are the odds that they would have in fact missed a target? 3: Would the political scene really have been that divided? Would the population at all tolerate any sort of giving in? Of course there are outliers but I would have to think they'd be in the *extreme* minority in this case. I really enjoyed the show, I think there is of course room for improvement, the foreign news casts were a bit cringe, and a look more into how the general population was discussing the events would have been welcome. Again thanks for these!

Tbh, the series isn't that good. Somewhat cliché storylines and really boring characters. Plus, the moral dilemma was weird. Like what's there to talk about - your country gets attacked and occupied. Of course you will react with force.

Great show! Thank you for recapping. It is great to see a piece of media that shows Finland as a strong an patriotic nation that shouldn't be underestimated. I am german and I think we won't get any own TV shows that even come close to this premise. In Germany a lot of people are afraid that Putin will start a war with NATO (unreasonable fear because it is highly unlikely) or use nuclear weapons against Germany (an even more unrealistic fear) if we somehow upset Moscow. The Kremels propaganda and its useful idiots had a decent impact in my beloved country, I'm afraid.

God I wish Season 2 has English subtitles.

My Finnish grandpa had a Cerebrovascular disease and was little off his rocker, he tought the antenna on the roof was capturing messages from the aliens 👽 which was impressive for 92 yo, however things got bit more serious when a Slovenian painter came to his door and he though it was a soviet officer. He hogtied the poor artist pointing his Luger at him and tried to contact the Finnish military officials, he was let go free of charge in the court but the painter wanted compensation he told he got ptsd and severe Irritable bowel syndrome from that encounter.

However, the producers could have saved 30% on the total runtime by simply cutting out the President power walking. Agree with your description i would also never take a shot at a moving IFV or tank with an AT weapon. Only at a stationary taget that have the side or rear exposed within 200 meters its really harder then it looks and you got one shot and your life depends on it eaven if you got your buddy ready to take the shot with the secondary AT. better take a shot that you can hit
