Bringing new concepts to printed reality
3D Printed Roller Coaster Assembly Timelapse
This video outlines the top level assembly of my second fully functional 1:35 scale launched roller coaster. I'll be sharing a final video in the future demonstrating the ride's functions as well as some clips of both trains navigating the layout's various elements.
What this timelapse does not show is the hundreds of hours of 3D modeling, design iteration, troubleshooting, 3D printing, and post processing that went into this year and a half build process.
For a more in depth look at the design cycle and other 3D printed roller coaster projects, check out my website at www.3dcoasters.net

3D Printed Launch Roller Coaster
มุมมอง 275K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This 1:35 scale original model took over 6 months to design, print, and build and is the world's first functional 3D printed launch roller coaster. The launch, brakes, and station are all controlled via an Arduino with 5 micro servo motors and 1 DC motor. "Launch" is the first working model I've made after printing roller coaster related projects for just over two years now. This proof of conce...
Now THEORETICALLY how much would you charge to print me a model of a ka train?😆
What happened? Would love to see it running.
Have you considered making your coaster model available for others to print?
I'll buy that for 300 shut up and take my money😂
Very impressive design! I've always wanted to make my own and I guess this is a sign for me to make it. Are you using PTFE tubes for the rails?
This is awesome. Do you think you could build me a suspended coaster? I’ll pay obviously. Thank you.
I love this! It might have inspired me to make my own and was wondering if you can make a quick video on how to script the arduino for the ride layout.
I’d love to build this myself :) would you have the files/instructions I can buy/download?
trying to design one myself - in no limits 2 what physics model do you use to make sure it makes it round the track fully when 3D printed. i dont wanna spend ages designing it to just not work
Could you please release the print files?
Would you ever be interested in selling the stl files?
need a new video though
you should sell these
i cant wait till my senior year. i hope to have enough education to build something like this one day. and hopefully. a full-size coaster.
i waiting an entire jear for the lounch i think we will never ess it run
The problem is you need to add weight to the coaster train. It’s too light for gravity to work realistically. Inertia is a friend and in order to gain its trust, you have to give it mass and velocity.
Soo, I guess no video on this one.
Did you also print the rails?
Roler coster
Any updates on the progress? Hoping to see it running!
Hi, im also building a model coaster what are you using as the Track (where the wheels are Driving on)
Nice mousepad 😂 😂 (it's totaly not an iPad)
Do you sell the stl
You should definitely get a mini camera and put it on and slow mo it for a pov
the fact it has a working tension launch and rectratable brakes just blows my mind!!! Well Done!!!
Vekoma
Really cool! Just wondering,in your first video when you say you hand modeled the layout, did you hand model everything or everything but the track and supports? Just curious.

This is incredibly impressive. I really hope you’re not dead as I don’t know why you haven’t uploaded in 7 months 😭😭
Absolutely gorgeous!
Excellent work, right here. =^/,..,^=
I love this !!!!!! Nice job man, keep making more
“Oh this seems like a nice gentle roller coastAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”
So we’re going to skip the fact that the track is b&m
Could be an older style of intamin
Seriously? You didn't end it with the coaster going along the track? After all the electronics? When will it be launching?
What is the 3d printer you have
Where can I find the 3d model?
Bravo.
how much did it roughly cost for the materials or everything overall
6 months later.........will you be launching it anytime soon? 😆
This is 1 million dollar project good job bro 👏 💯
This is really cool! Really wish there was a video of it running though :(
It’s on his channel
@@Zogoliththat is a completely different model. It's shorter and a full circuit. This one is a shuttle.
when are you posting update video??
So has RMC or Intimin hired you already....good lord your skills are CHURCH!
C’est magnifique, j’aimerais bien savoir faire ça
What do you mean with soon?
Fantastic job!!! So realistic looking too!! In time laps is close to 5 minutes but how long in real time did it take you to do everything in this video?
Any videos of it cycling?
So much for launch soon
@3d_coasters please make an lsm version i tryed building a lsm mimi launch coaster but its so complicated! and how works your coaster launch?
