Do you know any competition in Hungary? I was looking for one, but could not find.
@@thombaz I don't know any in Hungary, Romania is close. Robochallange takes place in bucharest once a year. Best and biggest antweight and beatleweight competition in Europe, would recommend.
Drumbotics kit is a masterpiece, I hope to see more videos on it. I was also in the Klaipeda competition, it was my first one so I did not perform so well. Will you be going to Sigulda competition?
@@GadgetWhiz Thanks! And Yes, of course i will to to sigulda this week. Will bring my new 0.5kg version of tytotu as hotline is broken and there will be no antweights (200gram) one's.
W and underrated channel
It is nice to hear!
Excellent video! Very exciting to watch all the way through!
@@alexsalchemy Thanks!
needs way more than just 1000 views good shit
Haha, Thanks😀
Do you sell the drumbotics kit files?
No. It is, because I have designed it for two years now and I keep the files to myself as I don't want anyone just make make one with no effort.
@DrumBotics ok
Well, we got combat feedback, and I think we can safely say that the Drumbotics kit is a beast!👌 On a note on the wheels, it seemed the robot was accelerating a bit quicker with the bumpy tires, but overall performance seemed about the same. Maybe run the smooth tires if you want to take things a bit slower, but that’s just my two cents.
Wow this is your best video yet!
So your kit was only 150g, but the other competitors were up to 200g?
@@markxr1 Yes correct.
Great video!!!. I want to see the video of Robochallenge Romania!!!
Making it right now!
Absolutely awesome kit! I love mine! Have not been able to compete with it but I have done a couple grudge matches and it held its own very well. I also had a few other competitors pilot the bot and they were all impressed. We use flat steel floors and I had no issues with grip on the original wheels.
@@CombatBro-Botics That is great to hear!
dont like the editing
Well, I agree that in this particular video my editing was little too much with all the sound effects and transitions. In my new silicone wheels video I reduced those things. Maybe you could tell me if my newer video editing was less anoying?
keep making this content to promote combat robotics 🩵
What brand of polypropylene did you use? Such an awesome design!
@@CombatBro-Botics Hi, Thank you, fiberlogy
Amazing video! how much does that weapon weigh? and big is it? I can't really grasp it from the video. keep up the great work!
@@Pir4tA50 Thank you! The weapon diameter is 80mm (the furthest tooth, because it is unsymetrical) And it weights around 90-100 grams.
@@DrumBotics wow such a quick reply! you're great man! I'm planning on building something similar to your Hotline, would it be possible to exchange a few messages with you for some advice?
@Pir4tA50 Of course, Search in facebook "DrumBotics" and message me on messenger.

I don’t even know where to start .. is there a kit for antweight plastic .. like where do I learn “ how “ too get a basic one up and going.. can I take a hex bug to competition lol
@@Daniyoyo By saying plastic antweight you mean 454 grams or 150 grams? I mean my kit is mostly out of plastic, but the weapon has some steel teeth. If you find any 150 gram competition I would recomend getting mine, because everything is said on what you need and what to do. I do not know if there are 150 gram plastic ants, or in the 454. You sure there aren't any not plastic competitions near you? They should be held together at once. You can take anything that fits into the weight limit😉 even hex bugs. It should work and be movable by your controler. Just check the rules if a particular switch is needed or something else. Hope that helps.
@@DrumBoticsit is 1lb(450g) plastic antweight here in the US. They don’t have it as small as 150g at least where I’m located .. do you have 1lbs kit or do you know how to go about getting started in making one
@Daniyoyo I don't make 1 pounders Yet. You can join the antweight facebook group and there should be peaple who sell some 1 pound kits. I know there are some, although not sure if they are meant for plastic ants.
@@Daniyoyo Check out Palm Beach Bots for plastic ant (PLANTS). They sell kits that are fairly competitive. You can also look at SCAR or Team Malice for parts, CAD files, and general info. Take a look at Robot Combat Events to find contests near you.
Great video! I'm going to be trying this for a new 12lb bot.
@@GrumpleBots Great! Try to use harder silicone as your robot is very heavy.
Hi! I also make combat robots, is there somewhere I can chat with you? inst? tg?
Just out of curiosity when do you think it will be back in stock?
Well, as im now out competing in Romania for a week I can't make anything on them. I would say 2-3 weeks. Will try to make them as soon as possible.
@DrumBotics well first thing first I hope you do well in Romania and go far in the competition!!!! Best of luck!!! Secondly that's no worries at all this will be my first bot so I'm so hyped to dive inand get into the hobby! Thankyou for your reply
Does it fit in an 10x10x10 cm box ?
@@steffenfpv5579 The robot? Hmmm.. I think maybe yes, but I will not be at home for this week I will respond after I will check the size. The kit is pretty small, but I will check for you. Quick question. There is a size limit where you are competing? Because I have never seen an antweight competition with a size limit. Pretty interesing.
hey bud congrats on your kit selling out i may even get one myself!!!! when will you be making a video on TYTOTU that bot looked amazing im a sucker for a egg beater weapon
Oh, thank you very much! I will go to Romania "RoboChallange" There I will compete with Hotline (My 1lb eggbeater) and TYTOTU. There won't be a 150 gram or 200 gram weight category so I made a 500 gram version of TYTOTU (Although it weights only 270 grams with thicker walls, but basically the same robot) We will see how it turns out, if tytotu will advance and performs good I will be making a video. If not then There is a competition coming up near me and I should make a TYTOTU video anyways.
@DrumBotics looking forward to it! All the best and I'm sure it will still do great things!!!! When will the drumbotics kit be back in stock I've made my mind up and would love to get one
What mold release wax are you having success with? Thanks.
@@AQucsaiJr I can't answer you with this question😀 it's, because I Bought it a long time ago and I don't remember it's brand.
@@DrumBotics No worries. Was going to give this a try with my kids and your method seems to work very well. Also, I apologize for the delay in information about the kit. I am hoping to have time for a good review very soon.
Thanks. We are totally trying this!
imo poliuretan fome wheels
@@theMGKPL They are better in your opinion?
Is there a reason you used silicone over urethane wheels? I use urethane for my custom wheels
@@TeamCryptidRobotics Never tried urethane, I have more experience with silicone
tpu drum? interesting idea
I’ve been prototyping very small silicone wheels for a robo mouse project for my cats, using a similar process but I’ve been printing the rims in abs like resin. I might try FDM next for the free texture the layer lines give. Great video! Was fun to see other people experimenting with multi material designs. 😊
@@emmamarx9284 Thank you! You can use basically any filament for rims as long as it's not soft. My needs are different as I need a harder plastic for tightening wheels to the shaft.
@@DrumBotics I’ve got some petg I’ll have to toss in the dryer and see if I can’t print some of my current designs, I get great results on small pieces on my Ender 3’s with PLA (after years of tinkering lmaoo) so hopefully I can get petg to print just as good. The wheels are dime size though 😅 might test them in PLA to see if they’ll even print correctly haha thanks for the reply! good luck on your projects!
@@emmamarx9284 Well, in my experience petg for me printed better and more precisely even than pla! But yeah drying is crucial for high quality small things.
@@DrumBotics hmmm, interesting 🤔looks like I’m sinking my weekend into dialing in one of my printers for petg! Haha thanks man! I appreciate your feedback!
I would have add 45 overhangs at the exterior so it would also help with the blocking in the axis direction 👍🏻
Great video and promising content for combat robots! I would change the locking profile to be rounded on the outside diameter so you have more even pressure and wear over time with the wheels. I also generally would prefer to flow the silicone around to the side walls so they can't slide off the side. Nylon generally isn't the best plastic to help adhere silicone tread to, but you could look into some PP filament that has a better chemical bonding.
Interesting... Thanks for ideas, will try some.
@Drumbotics, any information when the kit is available again? Keep up the good work
Soooo, as I have just competed at a new antweight competition with the Kit it will be a little bit delayed. 2 maybe 3 weeks at most. So my plan is to release a fight recap video about the DrumBotics kit and restocking it at the same time. Thank you!
@@DrumBotics nice, order will be incoming.
@@karondkarpaintwingsnstuff4323 Great to hear! Also... This stack of kits will be slightly better with 7075 aluminium forks. Grippier wheels (softer silicone) and other upgrades that makes the kit easier to assemble. But everything will be mensioned in the video
Wow so cool, I just bought them and I will be using them for my robots!
STL or 3MF file for the wheels and molds? Also curious if you tired TPU. If so, how did it compare?
@@myaheath No TPU didin't work at ALL. It is because there is a metal insert and there is a lot of pressure when the set screw screws and tightens the D shaft. Tpu just presses in and doesin't work. A hard plastic is needed like cf nylon. And no i do not share my files as i worked hard to design them year by year.
@@DrumBotics I was referring to using TPU for the tire component instead of silicone.
@@myaheath ooohhhh
@@myaheath Sorry for this missunderstanding. But still no. tpu does not have any grip with the floor. It is sofr as a plastic, but compared to silicome it is hard as a rock. Would not recomemd using tpu as tires.
Great Video! What’s the difference b/w PU and Silicone Wheels?
Hi, sorry but what is b/w Pu I may ask? Never heard of it.
@@DrumBotics polyurethane
what is the rpm of that n20 motor?
@@mrx.0000 600rpm's
@@DrumBotics okay, how robust are these? do the gears stuck after getting dropped from certain heights as getting hit from other robots?
@@mrx.0000 If the hit is big enough then yes, but I recently competed with them in the DrumBotics kit and they didin't break. Held up nicelly after more than 10 Fights. They are more durable than original n20's, because the hearboxes are made from steel and not brass
Could a syringe be used to fill the silicone?
@@JimmyHedman Of course! Just use a thicker one. Silicone has a pretty thick solution. The harder the silicone the thicker the it will be. But I guess it would work fine.👍
the best video, I waited for it and thank you for so much detail for those of us who are just starting, I hope you reach 1000 before the end of the year, greetings
Thank you very much!
