Thank you!
As per knowledge and experience, for step1 you should read first-aid like words to words , you should know about each topic conceptually and application retrograde manners because step 1 is all about pathophysiology and diagnosis with pharmacology . You should read it 3 times and the 3rd one should be an active recall . If you do it thoroughly then directly jump into nmbe , no need to solve UWorld if your score is 65-75% on NBME. Shedule exam and give it with confidence and focus that's it. For step2ck do UWorld+ FA if you forget it+ cms and nmbe that's it. For step1 there is a shortcut like FA and it pass and fail format but step2ck there is no shortcut we have to put our all for it. All the best 👍🏻😊.
@doctormk58 great tips! The only part that I disagree is if people only do minimal work for step 1 due to pass and fail, it will lead to lower chance of success in passing step 1 and lower step 2 ck score due to poor concept understanding. It has been stastically proven, a higher step 1 score leads to a high step 2 ck score. Give it your all for step 1 like it is graded, and give it your all for step 2 ck as well. I have discussed this with Dr Ujjwal Soni (video available!) he is 100% agreed with this philosophy.
Dr. Hariyadi can you please tell me where can i get the digital versions of the materials?
@@mimmunshi2441 you can watch the whole steps on how to become a doctor for non us img, i explained shortly about the resources for usmle
Dr. Hariyadi what is Anki and how to use it effectively during the preparation?
@mimmunshi2441 anki is digital flashcard , you create your own notes and review it in space repetition manner. You can watch my other videos on how to use anki to study usmle
@@YuliusHaryadi7189 Dr. Hariyadi is research mandatory for the match? I mean let's say I get a good score in both step 1 and step 2 CK and I don't go for research. Will I still be having the chance in my dream OBGYN residency?
@@mimmunshi2441 for a competitive residency such as obgyn, research is mandatory in my opinion
@@YuliusHaryadi7189 Then how do I go for research?
Hi There Dr. Hariyadi I am a new subscriber of yours and I will be starting my medical school next month probably. Can you please tell me according to you when is the right time to start preparing for Usmle? And how to manage medschool as well as Usmle preparation side by side?
@@mimmunshi2441 hi, are you non us IMG or US MD?
@@YuliusHaryadi7189 Well I am a Non US IMG,well soon I will be once I start my Medical college
@@mimmunshi2441 if you are just starting medical school, my top recommendations is to get these resources to study: Dr Najeeb lectures (the no 1 basic science lecture in the world), Pathoma for pathology, boards and beyond (for content not covered by dr Najeeb), amboss for qbank (coz its cheaper to use longer term than uworld), first aid (to know exactly what are the info that usmle will test you), Anki flashcard (as your note and review), and chatgpt (clarify and improve understanding in the concepts that hard to grasp).
And also do tell me where do I get the digital versions of my resources?
@@mimmunshi2441 you can get it from respective websites.

THe golden word i'm taking out from this video. "Be insightful". Thank you once again Dr Haryadi
@praveenbharathsaravanan glad that its helpful!
Hi, thanks for the info. One doubt I have is, do I get a specialization internationally and then apply for residency, or after the regular 4 years of med school, I apply for residency? Thanks
@klausstorres9051 thanks for the qs! The US just started to open spot for people to work in the US without residency, provided that you have completed residency in your home country. However, this path only start to open this year, and there are so many unknowns factor. For example: What are the criteria that the hospitals are looking for to get accepted for the position?can you work in other state after completion? Can you be board certfified? Therefore, my personal recommendation would be completion of medschool in your home country then apply for residency in the US. The path and your future is pretty clear. Hope that answers your qs!
I've been using ChatGPT to study for my Step 2 CK, and it’s been incredibly helpful. I often ask it to explain concepts using analogies, which makes everything so much easier to understand. I really love ChatGPT!

Hello..it takes 10min for me to read full explanation of 1 question. Therefore can't even finish 40 question review/day. Would u give any strategy to read each review within 5 mins?
@jayeshwatane9688 hi Jayesh! Yes, I got what you mean. First of all, its not wrong at all to spend 10 min per qs. You just have to do less than 40, maybe 20 qs per day, or even less!(depends on how much time you dedicated to study each day). My philosophy is, its better to review it thoroughly rather than review it superficially. You wont improve with just a superficial review. Of course its possible to spend the whole 10 min and achieving nothing. I already explained in the video what are the things that you need to review and how to review them. However, to answer your qs, I do feel using chatgpt4 will speed up your review because you spend time the most to understand the concept. Also, just believe that you will eventually spend less and less time to review as you go through more qs (that is, if you review it thoroughly the first time), because the qs and explanations are repeated.
