32 to 1 is what I use in all my saws l use yamalube 2T motor cross oil also the modern day saws to more oil more power
She's runs nice a bit of fine tuning and a bit more idle the big macs like a bit more idle
Ive recently gotten into ported saws and man i cant believe the difference. Ive also gotten really great gains from making my own foam filters from the old stock filter, black rtv silicone and uni filter foam from amazon. I get several filters made from each sheet of foam and its a great mod in my opinion. Raising the compression, porting and filter and exhaust and its incredible difference in the saws
Hey Nick, glad to see a video on red kote, mcculloch and red kote should go hand and hand. Have done 4 or 5 tanks it is messy, and the dye will stain yellow paint. I pull a old fuel line in and cover the gromet part with Vaseline. Don't be stingy with it. It will stain the first couple tanks of fuel. The cool thing you can dissolve it with acetone. So it is reversible. Thanks for sharing your time and content.
Get yourself a mechanical oil can , fill with 2 stroke oil , 3 squirts in carburetor , tip saw towards the dogs , no choke , if you have spark it will fire up first pull .
@@JB-wr2lx I’ve got one, it ended up being a broken fuel line and carb needed a kit. Thankyou for the help!

@@Dan_Akins it’ll be on here soon, found out it wasn’t pulling fuel, already rebuilt the carb so next time you see it it’ll be running and hopefully cutting soon
Hey Nick, really nice lookin cp, couple other differences. The crank has a few differences but can be swapped. The cp crank clutch side is not left hand threaded the clutch and crank are keyed. Also the small end of the connecting rod, and piston are different cp piston has two roller bearings and the small end conecting rod is press fit.the big end will swap either sp or cp crank. I really like the cp airfilter cover much better, much better air flow. You have a really nice collection going.. Can't wait to hear it run.
@@lanceuselton3124 Thankyou! Yeah the cp is a welded weight crank and has a half inch rod right? And the small end is press fit in the piston with two bearings, where the sp is floating pin with c clip piston and one bearing in the rod. I didn’t know that about the clutch, that’s good to know, found out it has spark, but not pulling fuel, so I’ll have to rebuild the carb. I’ll get it going soon
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws so I didn't know about the welded weights. I haven't swapped the conecting rods, but I have a sp that I put a cp crank and clutch, and conecting rod, and cp piston in, with a sp cyinder. Over 30 years ago, still runs flawlessly. I had the chance to pick a mcculloch shop over 30 years ago and ended up with a bunch of part's about 6 cp pistons and other suff. Rebuild it with my dad's faller buddy. Also got 2 sp 125 part's saws 1 complete and 1 missing the starter housing. Rebuild the complete one about 15 years ago with a resleaved standard boar from rich from westcoast muscle saws. The other one 125c I have all the parts to rebuild, not doing it till I get a sdc carb. The sp small rod end can't remember how many off hand separate needle bearings like the big end lots of fun... really enjoy your Chanel. About 15 20 years ago I got a mcculloch cd with part sheets and manuals for about every mcculloch ever made and all the kart stuff. I'll see about copying it if you want if you don't already have it.. just let me know
@@lanceuselton3124 yeah you can exchange a lot of parts if you know what works together, my sp125 that had the chrome replacement block that the chrome chipped between the exhaust and transfer is getting a cp block, with a sp rod and piston, and getting turned up just slightly, along with the two petal sp reed should be pretty fun, I’ve got some kart starter housings if you need one! And I’d love to have it if you can mail me a copy or email it to me!
I'll see if I can't make a copy. I have a stihl one also that covers most the o saws and the newer ones like 440 type. Send you that one too. The mac one covers alot from two man saws up to 805 maybe even the 8200 Ara. think it covers the p 1000 type also. Plus weedeaters My pc computer down but I'll try on my lap top tomorrow. Have a great night Nick

Gotta be the hardest saw to put seals in. If you take your pocket knife & chamfer the OD bore, it really helps. Also make sure the metal seal edge is chamfered with a flat file.

There was a previous generation of McCulloch Titan chainsaws to this one with vertical cylinders. The 50, 57 and 70 for sure as well as some smaller ones that I can't remember if they were vertical or horizontal. I love my Titan 57, they were made from 1988 to 1994 and there were a couple of different air filter arrangements as well as top covers. The Titan 57 is hands down one of my favorite chainsaws.
@@turtlewolfpack6061 I knew of the 50,57,and 70, you just don’t see the Italian 620 Mac in the states very often
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws I hadn't even heard of them before your video! It is definitely a modern saw and I hope you do more videos of it. The compression does seem low but is the saw even broken in? I know some generations of Poulan usually run less than 140 brand new and are just fine as well so maybe this is normal? I really need to get a tester on the Titan 57 and see what it has.

Awesome saw. Would love to find one
@@fredroberts905 hey man, they are out there, this one popped up on Facebook marketplace for $75 bucks
Hello Nathan. I think you can replace the intake boot through the carb hole without taking it all apart. Also the carb doesn't just butt up against the boot. There are two bolts through the carb that hold a flange on the front of the carb. The boot is pinched between the flange and the carb so that there is no air leak. In other words, you mount the flange to the boot then screw the flange to the carb. (Similar to the way the front of the boot is pinched between the reed block and the plate).
You don’t start your saw after you finish with it..?
@@dfkustom8 I do, most of my work is done late at night and my shop is near the edge of the property by my neighbors house so I only start em in the daytime, and it’s been 90-95 degrees here the last month so I really haven’t started any other than what I have to cut after working outside all day. It will be coming when it cools down
Thank for sharing the content. Just love the 125 videos. Didn't hear you mention the little raised orientation dots on the cap and rod if someone was in there before and orientated them wrong that could have worn the crank and caused the slop. Like you said it's a cryin shame... you'll get it.. thanks again...
@@lanceuselton3124 they were lined up, my apologies for not mentioning in the video, my best guess is the crank either had rusted/pitted and started wearing through the hardened metal after I had started running it, or for whatever reason the hardened metal on the throw side started flaking and the needles started eating through it, I was lucky enough to find a guy that sold me a known good rotating assembly
That's a bucket list saw for me
@@chainsawcanuck it’s definitely not common, I was shocked when it came up local to me, and not dogged out either

Is it possible to repair the ignition because there is nowhere to buy it in Serbia ?
@@djordjemisic6202 I have not found any way to fix the femsa ignition, once they go bad that’s it, supposedly you can fix or buy the sem ignition coil
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws Thank you very much for your reply
@@djordjemisic6202 if you can find a sem flywheel and coil from a 280,380,480,285,1100, 2100, or 2101 they will all fit, some may only be a two or three starter arm flywheel, and you have to match the starter pulley to whichever one

So can you please help me out again, man? On this pro Mac 10 I recently just got it. I was going to do a TH-cam video of it. Now I'm gonna be able to. It's not running right if you think it's the points of conductors. I'll get it fixed. Because I just got a filler's gauge today. Paid 5 bucks for it. So hoping that's what the problem is unless the seals are bad. But I just, I totally don't know about my colleagues. I don't know. This is this is AA common problem that they have. If you tell him I'm going to fix this problem has I've been noticing you tear down on a McCullough pro. Mac apart. Dixon If you want, I'll give you my number. Can you please just make a video step-by-step? What should I do defix this problem where you just think it's the carburetor
It's not blowing any smoke out, so the rings aint blued out. It just it acts normal, but when you push the throttle. You don't want to idle high. When he pushed the throttle, it wants to It wants to vog down. Until it cuts itself off completely. But if you don't touch the throttle, it was sitting there and idle kinda weirdly, but it makes a weird chattering noise
Alright, man. It's been a good while I used to talk to you. I just bought a colic pro Mac 1010 recently. There's something wrong with it. Every time I punch the throttle, it doesn't wanna idle. Give me a once diettle. It is autos, kinda weirdly. Will you tell me what's wrong with it? So that way, I can go fix it. It's got good spark. It's got good compression, and this is my first time experiencing mcculic pro. Mac 10 tens. I was going to go after a super 250. If you can remember and I couldn't find one. You got 2 of the same saws. And they're doing the same Zack. They're both known the same Zach problem. So I have no clue about these
