That suck about your pad! I was on a 10 day trip on Isle Royale this summer and the baffles on pad started to delaminate. Definitely not as bad as a leak but it was not as comfortable for sure. Like sleeping on a giant balloon and it was not insulated as well

My ancestors lived at Kyrock and worked in the mine. Butch Carrol had bought most of the land I heard. He used to work for Holley carburetors company.

Thank you for respecting the wilderness boundary. I have accessed La Madre Wilderness from other points (on foot) and this is the only place I know where an offroad trail actually crosses the boundary. I saw this on the OnX Offroad app also and you're right, the way they present it, it is like a regular trail with no restricted access.

Looks like a fantastic spot for an outing! Rappelling to boot to? Nice. Like the harness & hook-ups, much better than what I had to tie & use when in the service. ;) That drone adds a really nice touch!

Hello Garrett! Nice to meet you! We are fairly new as TH-camrs but love meeting and supporting fellow explorers. We grew up not far from Eagle River and never have heard of this trail so thank you so much for making it known to us. It looks like a great trail and we are looking forward to hiking it this year! 😁 We will be doing several hiking videos a year on our channel and are always looking for new trails!
