Hi, my name's Retro Rodney and I'm stuck in the past.
If I had a time machine I would be constantly time travelling back to my favourite, memorable moments from the past.
Please, somebody invent a time machine and let me hitch a ride...
Until then, I will keep posting memorable moments from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and more.
I hope you like what you see and will consider subscribing to my channel - then we will share the experience together.
Happy days,
Retro Rodney

I wonder how many of these Childern's TV shows from the 1970s you can remember?
I seem to be stuck in the past and wish I could go back to the 1970s and live it again.
I've decided to build a time machine so who would like to hitch a ride?
Big Love,
Retro Rodney

Take a look at these classic TV public information films from the UK that you've probably forgotten.
I used to love "How?" It was always entertaining and interesting.
😊😊
Gone but definitely not forgotten
Agreed😊
Musta been British. I don't know one of these. Correction: I know the Pink Panther.
😊😊
The very first clip of Trumpton makes me feel five again. I like that.
Happy days😊😊
@@RetroRodney They were! Cheers mate for these vids. They're a good smile 😉
I was born in 1974 and remember most of these. Bagpuss! Pink Panther! Lovely days.
Happy times - if you ever invent a time machine, please take me back with you😊😊
Mary, Mungo and Midge was one of my favourite ones. Great artwork as well!
Mary, Mungo & Midge were one of my earliest fave telly memories too mate.
@@hopebgood😊😊
Oh wow so nostalgic, took me back to my childhood, made me smile from ear to ear and made me feel so happy, loved them all, thank you ❤️
This takes me back, thanks for sharing, Mary Mungo Midge my favourite
You're very welcome 😊😊
I'd forgotten how dangerous the 70's were. It's amazing I survived them. Now where's that Public Information film about puddles guarded by the Grim Reaper? 😉 That was a good one!
I always used to love those 5 minute progs like Roobarb and Custard or Sir Prancelot or The Wombles just before the news started.
😊❤
I loved the wombles!!!!!!
Me too😊
@@RetroRodney When I was about 8 or 9 my artsycrafty mum made me a huge artwork of my fave Womble, Orinoco from carefully cut pieces of wool and felt which she stuck onto some old picture board. Sounds shit, I know, but it was amazing and when I got teenage and cynical we left it out for the binmen. I actually saw them pick it up and heard them say "Why are they chucking this out? It's really good." And I remember thinking "yeah....why AM I binning this?" Regret? Nah. Just a nice memory.
@@hopebgood A lovely srory of treasured memories ❤😊
@@RetroRodney Oh, I have l shit load of fun memories like that mate but thank YOU for uploading these wonderful vids where we can all remember and/or maybe share them again.
I'm 53.. born in 1970... so many great memories here
😊❤
Just fabulous. Remember each one. Happy memories.
😊😊❤
Pue, Pue, Barny mc grew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub. I spent years trying to figure out why there were 2 Pue’s thinking I must have been miss hearing it. Until someone pointed out they were brothers. 😂😂😂
😊😊
I remember all of these. The Tonka truck commercial lol
😊😊
Rentaghost...it was bloody great
I agree, it was 😊
I am so sorry to have to disagree. I love all these old kids shows but I just hated Rentaghost so much. It had me changing the channel over to ITV no matter what was on. Click, click, click!
Great memories‼️💯🥰
😊😊
Magpie. Blue Peter wanna be
😅😅
When our country was our own
Off to GBNews with ya 🙄
I was born in 2005, and I fondly remember having some DVD’s along with the “Trumpton” series, the train DVD was my favourite. I had some weird childhood memories that were more for Gen X and millennials, Like: Thunderbirds, Trumpton, Thomas the Tank engine (that being the model series), Bagpuss, Fingermouse, Balamory, magic roundabout, Tweenies, pink panther, Brum, “the night garden”, to name a few…
I wish I could go back
Me too😊
Why? What would you do Jake? Something differently? Genuinely curious. I'm quite happy to watch and enjoy all this old stuff and leave it there in the past 😀
@@RetroRodney Thanks soooo much for uploading this. Would YOU do anything differently? I don't think I would. I do miss those 70's savoury pancakes though tbh!
@@hopebgoodI remember those savory pancakes 😋 I would like to jump in a time machine and go back for a day - happy days
@@RetroRodney Bring me back some minced beef pancakes please. Thank you 😉
Nope, not forgotten.
Wow that took me right back to my childhood, thanks x
62 Yrs old & loving this. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it - happy times😊
These shows are not forgotten at all! That really did make me smile, thank you.
Happy times😊😊
This was my era and I was so lucky. Children's programmes these days and overwhelming, noisy and trashy.
Would be nice to go back even if it was for one hour😊
Gran, The Bubblies.
not forgotten any and in my mid 50s, still have seen some of these shows recently too best era for tv films and music
Yes they were the best times❤
Zebedee from Magic Roundabout was TERRIFYING!!!!!!!1111 Like he'd been horribly maimed and given a spring as a prosthetic lower half.
Yes I agree😊😊
Black beauty , must be bath time .
I know that feeling. Sunday night just before The Muppet Show on LWT. Just before *shudders* school the next day.
Probably forgotten? I'm 54 a I remember them all very well. Happy days.
Time passes so quickly 😊
As a true Generation X member i can remember every one of those, and could even sing along to the themes ❤
Some of the best known and fondly remembered shows of the period. Not a 'forgotten' list in the slightest.
I loved Noggin the Nog
I can just about remember Noggin the Nog. A very early memory.
Thank you for sharing so many childhood memories I can remanded many of the tunes and words to the songs.
😊😊
Who remembers captain pugwash getting banned? Able seaman and master bates 😂. Same as the stoner in magic roundabout, Dylan.
Seaman Staines. It's funny but just not true.
Saw shows on Nickelodeon 1980 was call pinwheels was 4 hour long kids show wherd days
Awesome 🙌🏼 thank you 🙏
Me my freind and my cousin live far away from each other
the girl in play safe don,t throe frisbees in substations is called Briony
Why does the camberwick green music make me burst into tears?
I remember them all 😊
Dem Childhood years in the UK!!!....Awesome ❤❤❤
Anyone remember a lates 70's early 80's show about two castles on hills next To each other and sometimes they would fire cannons at each other and sometimes be friends. I think remember watching it when I was 3 but I can't remember what it was called
Sounds like Cloppa Castle to me mate
was a teenager in the 70s, these shows were great, not just for the little ones 🙂 thanks for showing bits of them again, fantastic, thank you so much: Ermintrude and her pals are probably my faves, until I watch again that is, then will prob be something else LOL
I like reading all the comms on here cos I was a mix of 70's and 80's kid. I just had such an amazing time and it's fun reading the comms to see what other people think 😉
That's the wrong Captain Pugwash. Your clip is of the modern animated series. The 1970 one was stop motion card cutouts.
The stop motion card cutouts was part of its charm. The later version was rubbish.
I remember all of these. I'm 59 and a quarter. good stuff.👍
59 and a quarter. I love that 😉
Oh Petra❤
