E baffy sapeva di questa cosa e non voleva soffrire come era successo con Angel quindi non si è mai lasciata andare , cercava sempre di rimanere per terra a volte anche trattando male il povero spike ..è stato bello vedere un uomo combattere per la propria amata fino alla fine per dimostrare a lei che lui , c e sempre stato , e l ha sempre amata ... anche in Angel (serie) quando è ritornato in vita . Why did he had to die?

I heard about when Whedon told James Spike was going to fall in love with her and James assumed it’d be one-sided but Whedon said that actually Buffy will love him. Don’t quote me or anything, just something I heard recently. Point is, even before this, I knew from the start Buffy actually cared for him and at some point fell in love with him. It was so obvious, he worked hard to be worthy of her and she appreciated that and she found excuses to visit him so often because she genuinely liked being with him. It wasn’t just sex. At times the writing made it seem like some sexual perverse obsession but I felt it was just because he’d take anything he could get, any way he got to be around her, even if he wanted more. And I think if her friends weren’t so judgmental and considered Spike based on his actions and the changes he’d gone through and genuine concern & support he’d shown the Summers’ and the scoobies at certain points, it wouldn’t have been some shameful toxic thing where he fed into her fears that this relationship was impure and she was somehow broken. Tara had my favorite and (imo) most honest nonjudgmental reaction of all when she asked Buffy if she loved Spike and said how he’s done so much good and truly loves her, so it’s ok if Buffy does in fact love him. Sorry for the diatribe, none of my friends have seen it so, lotta pent up opinions 😊

her faith in him was so incredible. the way she treated him at times was harsh and he was no saint but when he got the soul she really tried to make him see his potential as a GOOD man. love this show

After watching a interview with James (Spike) and this pops up and now knowing he saw Sarah as a little sister and he never really wanted a love line like this more of a one side love story kind of change my perspective hahaha

I never liked the attempted SA angle. William was a Brit gentleman. He never would have done that. Even as a vampire. Their entire relationship was riddled with violence. They just couldn’t figure out how to get him to leave to find his soul. So they wrote that BS

They ruined the show when they implied that Spike assaulted Buffy. It was bad enough they gave us Dawn the robot that we didn't need, and killed her mom for nothing. That lady could have just moved ir became a ghost or something. Buffy and Spike was a grown up love story that they were to chicken to give us with Angel. Spike challenged Buffy and didn't cater to her Slayer compex. Spike and Buffy should have been end game.

The thing that the show never acknowledged is that it calls Spike the monster, but Buffy is emotionally abusive, physically violent, and lies to her self and to Spike and to the world. She causes active, malicious harm. And, at no point is she redeemed. And the fact that through this Spike refuses to turn his back on her once he gets his soul and sees her violence, but can't stay away without the soul because he sees in her his deepest, darkest wants: love, loyalty, honor, fidelity. There is a serious argument that, in the final stretch Spike is *the* hero in places.

I feel like the council should’ve also payed the slayers a monthly stipend. I mean saving the world all the time isn’t cheap.

They remind me of caroline and klues 😢
