They're financial report said they made 23 dollars of profit from red dead online so if they made 1 more update they would have been in a loss.

RDO made me actually like some of the cheaters/modders because they potentially spawned in infinite chests for lots of money and gold nuggets, normally I wouldn't condone that but in this case when they want to squeeze you for all your money just to play the roles and make you do millions of missions just to get a few clothes and a gun I don't care anymore about the morals around accepting their rewards, especially since the ones who made the game don't give a damn anyways.

There are a lot of older games that I wish I could go back to during the glory days... Rainbow Six:Vegas, Halo CE, Gears of War 1-3, GTA IV, etc. Sadly something has greatly changed since those times... Players weren't so toxic back then either.

Yep I had delusions as well on how good this game was going to be. Then nobody wanted to play at all.

Its kinda sad cuz i imagined like,idk. Imagine you are a bountyhunter and you have to catch another player which simultaneously is on a train robbery,so you'd have to race the police to find them and take them in. Instead we got a good,yet dissapointing game

You always see thousands of comments saying how good this could've been but, all they really specify is houses and bank robberies lol just give it up yall, it aint going to happen and we all know this.

I’ve started replaying red dead online recently and it’s honestly boring as hell but still fun

It is so sad that RDO fell the way it did. I remember reading about them "pausing" the updates, to focus on GTA. Yet here we are a good while later, and they have yet to resume updating the game. Anytime me and my friend get on, we are met with hackers in every server, making it unplayable. Furthermore, nothing to do when we finally catch a break from the chaos. Though it is worth mentioning that roleplay servers are playing a part in reviving the "online" part of the community, even if those roleplays are never done in the online mode.

Ive been doing online for a year now and have gotten burnt out from it more than any other game I’ve played. Not only do the hackers ruin it, but it’s so buggy for me and crashes way too often to be enjoyable,

The game stayed good, I play often and just ride around enjoying the infinite details and variables, akways different and always surprising

It’s crazy how gta V still gets content and new missions that actually are interesting and have good cutscenes but nope red dead doesn’t have any of that. Just cosmetics and the same old bounty jobs and stuff that you have been doing since you very first started playing the game. It’s so bad. It’s honestly really hard to stay immersed in because the lack of things going on. It’s the same old, bounties, blood money, and supply delivery missions with some trash pvp with mostly hackers inbetween. 😂 I love delivering a wagon and then randomly having 100 cougars teleported on top of me 👍🤣 mauled instantly

I started around the frontier pursuits update, picked collector as my first role. I was rolling in money in no time, by level 70 I had more than I could ever spend, and just never worried about cash again. Just messing around with friends doing whatever until I quit

My friend group and I are actually having a lot of fun with the online mode, we often just chill around camp, do some trading missions, do some bounty hunting and occasionally dabbling in a bit of roleplaying here and there. It sure could have had a lot more content or polishing, but I’m having a blast playing it!

The old daily challenge system was so good though. Grinding gold bars that way made you bank. But now they nerfed it

Red Dead Redemption 2 is completed in story mode, hence it doesn't need to be online, that's all.

the only thing left is the wild west and hackers who will insta kill you when you spawn or crash ur game😢

I used to get fucktons of gold bars for free by being hundreds of dollars worth of bars and then refunding them, they would let you keep it all for free.

So sad Rockstar abandoned this game, they basically gave us a drip feeder for content and continuously kept us hoping for more… The fact there was no properties, they ignored the community completely, and the missions were so half-assed (in comparison to story mode) leads me to believe the Online mode was nothing more than a pay to play cash grab, they weren’t ever going to create interesting content, just more bullshit justification for stimulating micro-transactions haha
