This is an install video to put a Subaru Impreza 2008-2010 Front lip to a 2007 Accord CL9 TSX Bumper. I did this video because there are not a lot of lip splitters out there that look like the A spec splitter that are being sold in the US. So the 06-07 sti lip fits the older tsx models and the 2010 sti lip fits the 07 tsx better?
Yes cause I had both of them. I had an 04 tsx and now I have an 07 tsx and the lip fits a lot better

How do you get it to cdc
Once you bought everything you needed and everything is hooked up correctly you got to press the “CD” button on your radio until the display says CD-C then it will work this is only for the earlier TSX’s

It gives it more grip. Probably wasn't good enough without the grind down.

Hey so I’m stumped on the headlights part. I did the same process but my lights won’t turn on? Any idea what the issue could be?
@@fernanda.m8439have you checked the fuses for your headlights? On the video I added high beam and low beam together because I like the way it looked driving but you can always separate them. Make sure you use electrical tape
@@adamhashimoto8515 fuses all look good but they won’t turn on even if changed where they were placed unfortunately
@@fernanda.m8439move the headlight pins around see which ones are ground and power trouble shoot one side first to figure it out

You obviously didn’t see the whole video there’s a Before and after part showing that the wheel didn’t spin on one side before the install and then after both wheels spin. Stop being such a baby and try it out for yourself
@ RicardoLopez-cf9tn You didn't pay one bit of attention to the video did you? He was showing a before and after video. Plus if you took the time to look a the burnout at the end you can clearly see both tires leaving rubber on the street 🤡

Yes you do, I would use a thermo gasket to lower the temps

Not sure because the 07 bottom of the bumper inner curves are wider then the 04 I’m sure you can make it fit

Ok what about the drive shaft input shaft? Are the c-clips able to engage w the block in the way? Shaving the gears; doesn’t that remove the space where the c-clamps lock into place? Or are you just running the drive shafts without the C_clamps ? Thanks for your post btw Also: wouldn’t we also have to shorten the drive shaft ends about the same amount you shaved off the gears and re-cut a place for the c-clamps if the drive shafts hit the block ? My bad lots of questions
Yeah the c clips don’t interfere with the phantom grip block. The reason why your shaving the gears is to slip the phantom grip inside because i tried it without shaving them down and it doesn’t fit, so you need to do it. I would get a transmission from the junk yard and practice on that that’s what i did and i was successful so anybody can do this, you just got to step out of your comfort zone sometimes. Good luck
@@adamhashimoto8515thanks for the reply. Yea it sounds a lot easier than the (Racingdiffs) block. I asked because I bought the racingdiffs block but this one came with discs which seems like a nice design except that they get in the way of the drive shafts. They have vids on installation but not the trouble of having to trim the drive shafts and creating a new groove inside the passenger side spider gear⚙️ so the c-clip can engage and lock it safely. This block cost around $260. Takes more work and mods.. but I’m a newbie and your vids caught my attn. Maybe I’ll try the phantom on my next project. Thanks again !
I wouldn’t shave the drive shafts/axles for any reason but you should definitely try it out it’s worth it
How is the fuse relay plugged in? Is it connected with the 2 wires from the button and if so is it before or after those 2 wires? Kinda confused on how everything works with the wiring.
On the video I drew a diagram but the way it is, the two black wires from the button those two wires go to the fuse of your coil fuse on one of those black wires you can add a fuse doesn’t matter which one as long as you do add a fuse. It’s for safety only.At the end of those two black wires they have pins that act like it was a fuse to complete the loop. You don’t have to add any more relays because your factory has them already. You’re just over thinking it too much,
Curious if you know how to make the high beam and low beam functional. I like the idea of yellow high beams but also want functionality of on and off since I street drive my car
If you want your high beam to work it would be the top pin and the right side pin is the ground the left side is the low beam. You can see on the video at 19:30
i was really interested in that thing but now that i see you sent the gear to the machine shop to get them shaved and all the work you have to do to get that thing in there im like yea ... im gona spend 250 $ more and buy a real complet lsd diff from mfarctory
You must be a loser commenting on Valentine’s Day 😂 at the time I didn’t have a belt sander so you have to grind down to the splines and use a belt sander to smooth it out the guy charged me $25 at the machine shop cause he had a belt sander if you have so much money why don’t you just get a type R transmission. Honda’s are for people on budgets

What is the spec for clearance on the install with the clips on? Wanting to know how much to take off the gears? What is the max this will expand to?
Don’t know the specs or the clearance because different years and models may have stiffer springs depending on the car.you just have to shave down the gear til you get closer to the splines then slip the phantom gear block in the differentials as shown on the video
Yo next video can you crank your audio? Maybe normalize it a bit too. I started the video at max volumes and couldnt hear a word. Luckily you started speaking up after a couple secs. Its still too quiet overall though. Thanks for the fun vid though!

Do you mean s14 to s13? It would probably cost more because a lot of people are doing pop up lights on s14s these days

I wouldn’t recommend using with HONDATA just use the gauge how it is

No it’s not the same. Like 240sx you can get away with welding the dif because it’s outside the transmission. Honda’s have the dif inside the transmission and there needs to be a little bit of play if you weld it you’ll damage your transmission and it’ll be hard to turn too, This is the cheaper alternative instead of getting the LSD from a JDM transmission. Good luck

It’s not the same because what if the welds break and some of the particles of the welds fall on some of the gears or trapped in the synchro’s. It’s cheaper to do it the way I did it. I never had an issue.
@@adamhashimoto8515I already purchased this lsd not planing on racing or abusing the car just want lsd to get power to ground and daily drive especially in the snow whats your thoughts on reliability I see regular oil change is good and getting good oil is great how often do you change the transmission oil ? And is it expensive or should I buy a more expensive lsd? Just curious
@@paimei6798 i change the oil on the transmission ever time I do an oil change on the car as well. If you’re on a budget I would try this method it’s a lot of fun it’s just a little work you got to do but it will pay off.

@@lemmtsx3799 I did but it keeps on falling off I would recommend JB welding 2 bolts behind the mugen emblem and nuts and washers cause if you use double sided tape it falls off. good luck

Once the cubes inside the differentials then you use a flat screwdriver to pry out the little locking plates on both sides
@@adamhashimoto8515 I meant the weird trans mission clip that had to come off before it comes apart. I suppose I’ll figure it out when I see it for myself, but this is the best phantom grip install video regardless if I saw the clip removal or not.

AIT racing website you can make your own but I would recommend you buying them already made with the bends

You had to shave gears? For what the block costs, phantom should have made this a perfect fit. I just got one for my legend and I hope I don't have to modify the gears
If you're not ready to do slight modifications like possibly shaving down the gear then find a professional

Are the screw holes on the bottom already there on a stock accord? And if i buy a lip that is already meant for the car would i need to shave
if the lip is meant for the car it should line up and not need to be shaven except if its of poor quality

Just make sure it’s for your year and get a polyurethane lip it’ll last you longer

I tried this and I’m getting a p1382/cylinder position sensor 1. Any clue on how to fix it?
If you’re using a jumper harness it’s more confusing so it may not work for you this is for if you’re doing a swap and having the dual overhead harness or a single overhead vtec harness with the right ECU
@@adamhashimoto8515 I have a 98 integra rs and I through in a 97 b18b from. It was a direct swap, but I need to get my car smogged on the 8th of next month. I got rid of the code for the crank sensor, but now have the piston one.
Don't sand them gears. Just make different locks on convertion kit. 10 min job. Make lock plate hole closer to each other. Put the kit in vice. Take locks out. Close the vice so kit is completely closed, then install new lock and it will fit in no probs
A 10 minute job that you would fuck up inevitably 😂Too late I already sand down the gears and installed the transmission I had it for 6 months haven’t had an issue. But thanks for your input I never asked for it

Question instead of shaving the gears... Why not shave the LSD block insert?
You could do that but it’s a possibility that it might weaken the LSD block insert so I wouldn’t recommend it. the reason why you have to shave the gear is because the gear comes with a lip so it doesn’t allow you to go straight in just follow video good luck
How was the fitment of the AIt conversion fenders? Was it hard to get it to not catch on the door?
Sorry for the late response they're not going to be perfect fitment on the fenders you just have to do some adjustments to get it to your liking. I only got the kit from AIT racing because they are the only ones that carry the s13.4 fenders right now no one else has them in stock. Good luck
