Super clean…
Do you not need to tape for plaster? It won’t crack?
Everyone at work dose it, that’s why I did it. I have another one done years ago and it all good, no cracks.
Looks amazing but u need to be a Sheetrock guy to have these in your house
How come?
Eres muy disciplinado
💪🏼👊🏼
I want to be like you when I grow up
Why didn’t you buy one that already had it 😂😅
🤫
If you don't know the Sweet sensation of smacking your thumb with a hammer you're not a real Carpenter
This used to be called common sense. But the thing about commons sense theses days, it ain't that common 🙄
Have to start somewhere
Muy buen trabajo
Use red loctite so heat is needed to remove it
After making the video I regret it but my thought behind using blue is that if I have to remove it again I don’t want to have to use a flame near the radar sensor.
There's a super old safety video called shaking hands with danger. It features a scene with similar precautions. If you've never seen it I always recommend watching. Shaking hands with danger is a 70s or 80s video
I’ll check it out
Just have to deal with every type of customer......in what ever way you need to
Legit set up
I have NO problem having the client watch. I even encourage them to ask questions. It's their house, after all. But the second they start second-guessing me, or giving "suggestions," I say rather bluntly, "The price doubles if you try to help."
I thought about doing that. Just never encountered that before.
😂 that’s good
i got metal shot into my hand from something similar
When metal shears apart, it can do so with a lot of energy. One day I was on a job site and my coworker's power drill fell. It landed front first and snapped the drill bit, sending it flying with enough energy that it zipped through my jeans and stabbed me in the shin. It wasn't deep, just a bandaid was good enough, but something that small having that much power is impressive.
Wow that’s next level!
Man up
💪🏼
Why not just buy a Milwaukee bolt safety helmet?
Because that’s a short TH-cam video haha
Keep using the grider, just dip the chisel into water before it gets too hot. Also just grind it flat, not in an angle. Love from austria ✌🏻
Appreciate the tips
Surely the pyramid shape is unnecessary? If you just take the edges off you wouldn't compromise surface area? It isn't lasting longer if you've already removed the material!
😂 good point
Watch out with your fingers 👋😳
You higher the temperature of the steel?? You raise the temperature of the steel..
Haha you right
or just do a poor man’s temper? red hot into water. i worked with hardfaces and it doubles my tool life
Good to know
@@skillstacking just make sure that its not as hard as the hammer. If it is, youll chip some steel away from both tools.
@@goas45 he'll be fine with a quick and dirty quench. getting serious hardness out of steels takes a complicated annealing process
I saw someone use a grinder at to remove the mushrooms didn't more than a minute. If it starts to heat up cant you dip it in ice water.
I’ll keep that in mind.
It is done like that usually yes.
brooo just heat it up and hammer the mushrooming smooth so you dont lose material
Yo that’s a good idea haha
Great way to ruin the temper on your chisel 👍
@@skillstackingit’s really not
@@CactusBrannigan unless you temper it after. Lol
@@CactusBranniganif you’re taking the time to reshape temper it again after brother 💪
Wear eye pro either way
For sure.
Because you're heating it up so much it ruins the temper of the steel and softens it
how to cut triangle and other Odd shape?
Got me there. Haven’t done that in years and I don’t have a video doing it. Sorry
@@skillstacking one time i faced a very strange shape that i didnt have patient to to it, combination of semi triangle on rectangle one side shorter than other ,terrible shape! i think the only way to do it would be on template
Yea I once had that problem before. I made a template out of cardboard. Haha
I thought you had soft hands but the electric screw driver confirmed it
Second time this week someone said I have soft hands. 🙌🏼
Much easier with no fusible link😅
😂
Nice work. Can you please list the different types of mud that you used at each step? Thanks!
I just used compound, the green or blue lid and some plaster Paris. I used that for all steps besides the last one, polish. And let it dry for 24 hours. The only reason I used plaster Paris is because I wanted to finish in a day but if you want you can just use compound, it will take a day per step but I will work.
@@skillstacking Thanks so much for replying, this is really helpful! Did you use the plaster of paris for the final polish step or mixed in with the compound? I would really like to know what you used for the final polish step. Thanks again!
For polish, I just used compound. It is a very thin coat. So it drys fast.
I have the table lamp version of the lights same brand name
Yea. It’s a great like. I wanted to get it but it wouldn’t work with my space
Clarks, those are like clouds to walk in❤
Nice job. I have that Milwaukee mini hole saw, its great for tile.
It’s a must have if you ask me.
Very inspiring and encouraging words. It’s about the journey
Now I know what happened with that poor trapo 😂
Clever vise-work. Keep in mind that the pliers act as a heat sink so try to hold the piece as far away from the joint so the solder flows correctly. You can use this to your advantage by putting a heat sink where you already soldered joints.
This is a great tip. I will keep it in mind.
Get yourself some helping hands
Yea. Someone in my last short told me the same. Going to get it in my next HF trip.
You should use flux on the copper pad and pre solder it and use the tweezers to guide the wires while heating up the solder on the pad. Then let it go when it cools down. Wires move and theres not much you can to about it. So its best to properly prep and use your hands to keep the wire still
Thanks for the tips 💪🏼👊🏼
I have 2 washers and 2 dryers, I'm considering building a platform out of 1 1/8" plywood with 6 wheels, 1 at each corner, and 1 center front and back. After using your machines on the dolly you built, would you recommend all wheels be locking or just the 4 corners?
I recommend you lock them all. You will still get some movement. I have to move it into the right place ever 6-8 months
Harbor freight has a helping hands/third hand for 5.99, buy it so I don't have to see this again
Ooo that’s good. Going to look for that next time I go.
Why does Noone call it solder?
Must me a New York thing. I always thought it was spelled soder. 😂
I would have preferred silicone over hot glue but they're really not that different so looks good
That is a better idea but it doesn’t set up quick.
Bruh that solder job tho 😬
😂🤫
I like using tape much more efficiently than that mate! Dont make it so hard on yourself.
you're letting go before the solder is solid. just wait.
The solder won't be solid because he's only holding it with a solder iron.
Yea, what Michael said is the problem I have.
Literally doing it the hard way
👀 am I?
@@skillstacking tin the pads, tin the wire, then solder them together
Got it. Thanks for the tip. 💪🏼👊🏼
just bend the cable a lil bit
Use tweezers for one.. Second you should redo the wire that's barely in it'll eventually fail due to lack of contact increasing resistance and heating it slowly.
Thanks for the tip. 💪🏼👊🏼
Just adjust the wire so it sits on the LED. Also, solder before you put it in the track.
Thank for the tip.
Try the Unishim, Works better !
Never saw that before. I’ll look into getting some.
