I think the creation of Big Mom was a good idea on Oda’s part. It sets up Sanji’s tragic backstory and draws meaningful parallels between Big Mom and Germa. The whole theme of whole cake Island is disguised Mistreatment. It leads most of the characters in that arch including Sanji to get twisted in lies. Luffy meaningful breakthrough about friends never leaving your side breaks this whole concept and it why Luffy is such an important cornerstone in this arch. He yet again displays his ideals.

I find myself getting bored of Wano...It..Just..Won't..End. That and Yamato had ZERO foreshadowing for being such a major character. Before her introduction she basically did not exist. This is bad writing and very unlike Oda. He is renowned for introducing or foreshadowing major characters WELL before the arcs they properly debut in as active players. Yamato..Just..Exists now, and she is massively important to the plot and themes of Wano. Why are we finding out she exists ONLY at the time she's needed to get involved in the plot? Plus, hot take, Kaido is a lame villain. He's way too evil and 1-note for me to care or sympathise with him. He's not scary like Big Mom, Big Mom was this terrifying force of nature, she's psychotic, conniving, unpredictable and she has this sheer dread presence. At the same time she's still traumatised by the loss of her adoptive family and you can tell her childhood deeply scarred her, turning her into the monster she's become. By contrast, Kaido is a whiny crybaby drunk who wants to die in a big battle. That's it. Kaido is the Jiren of One Piece. There I said it.

Ok I am a huge one piece stan right so I will tell u what I feel about wano. Act 1 was amazing, wano looks stunning second best island (first is water seven).kaido vs luffy was amazing really displayed power of a yonko. Act 1 is a 10 . Act 2 is thee set up for the raid. Gathering alliance , lot of great character designs, enma and many morethings are revealed and some pretty spectacular moments and fighst but it has pacing issues. So its a 9. Flash back don't need to say anything. Its a 10. But like u said the raid is very straightforward. That is making me dislike this part of wano a lot. Not a lot of character development. Huge set ups and small fights(strawhat fights excluding monster trio). I can genuinely tell that this video is everything I expected when I clicked on it. Glad u believe in oda a lot even I lose faith but he always does pull it off. Raid has been very easy for the alliance so far. I personally believe the raid is going to fail. That way wano becomes Wano. Oda didn't just create this big of a story line to make things go so smoothly without any twists(which are harder to resolve) or turns. I refuse to believe that.
